Hey Guys!!

Before reading on, I think it would be better if you all back read from the last chapter so that you could all grasp the full emotion in this one.

But if you don't then... Okay🤷🏻‍♂️ 😆

Maddison's POV

He was silent. Staring at his eyes, I could still see a tinge of restraint. But then he slowly leaned up towards me, letting me feel the hotness of his lips against mine.

My mind ran through many thoughts about what was about to happen. How our relationship would very likely deepen.

And I was scared.

I was scared that I wouldn't be able to do it. That I would revert back to what I was months ago after that traumatic event.

Sleepless nights, when I would wake up screaming from the dreams I'd have about the way Marcus has violated me.

The coldness of his touch.

The evilness in his actions.

When we both pulled away from our kiss, I hadn't noticed that I've shed some tears until he gently wiped them away as he looked at me with concern.

"Last chance, Love. Are you sure??" Just one look at those sea green eyes, and my worries were then thrown back to my past.

And to his question. Was I??

Was I really ready??

"Sure as I can ever be." I say to him with confidence.

And it was the truth.

I may have had a traumatic experience, a poison, that continues to threaten the happiness that I could have.

But Jayden was my salvation.

3rd person's POV

WARNING!! SEXUAL CONTENT AHEAD!!!

The heat in the room continued to rise, as the shimmering ember of emotions between the two was slowly turning into blazing inferno.

Hearing his mate's answer, Jayden's eyes darken as he leaned up to kiss her, but was then pushed back down.

Gazing into her eyes, the unsureness he'd seen a while ago was gone. Her flustered face looking down as he lied there.

"Maddison, what are you..." But he was cut off when she crashed her lips back to his, making him groan out.

His heart rate immediately picked up as his nervousness grew. Especially when her hands started to move.

His face.

His neck.

To his clothed chest, down to base of his shirt.

But Maddison, she was uneasy. She doesn't know why she'd taken the lead. She doesn't even know what she was to do, so she just opted to do what she felt was right.

And I can tell you. As she lifted up her mate's shirt, taking it off to leave his toned torso bare for her to see. It was so right.

Feeling the heat of his bare skin as her hands explored. The shiver that ran through Jayden's spine as he felt her lips trailing down his neck.

Anxiously, Jayden's hands moved to do their own exploration but was then grabbed by his mate's small ones before pinned above his head.

Maddison saw the surprise on her mate's face at her action. She herself was surprised, but she gave him a flustered smirk.
