Jayden's POV
A growl escaped me upon hearing what he said. But he didn't seem affected by this, and instead waited for my reply as to what he had said for me to do.
"Like we'd even consider surrendering to you." I said. "You're not going to win, Marcus. You're powerful, yes. But look closely behind you. You'll see different species, banding together to go against you. This is your doing. You made us fight. Trapping us with your threats. You made us desperate."
My hands clenched. Feeling a surge go through me. "And let me tell you. Trapping desperate and wild animals, never ends good."
"Really??" He chuckled, turning his back on me which was a huge sign that he didn't even see me as a threat to him and it only made a growl erupt from me.
"Trapped and desperate wild animals are dangerous?? Hmm. Well what if these said animals are dead then?? Are they still dangerous though??"
"All of you pose no threat to me, pup. In this battle, you all see a chance to stop me. Well for me, I only see insolence." He said. Still looking at the fight that raged. "Like I said a while ago. All of you are only delaying the inevitable. And honestly...."
"I'm getting bored." I then saw him raise his left hand towards the direction of where the battle continued.
A dark aura then came. Enveloping themselves around the dark lord as I felt myself tensing up at the unknown action he would do.
"The Werewolf Council along with their warriors just got here, am I correct?? Cause if that's so then..." He slowly turn back to look at me. His hand still raised as a smirk form on his face.
"They weren't exactly given the spell immunity incantation like your army now were they??"
With that, I knew exactly what he planned to do. And with no other choice, along with the desperation I felt at that moment, I did the only thing I could do to try and stop him.
Attack.
Shifting to my wolf, I barreled towards him at full speed but the smirk that playing on his face only grew as I then heard the loud yelps and whimpered of wolves in the distance.
"Watch them wither in pain." His dark voice said as I let out a loud snarl of anger and rage.
I tried to sink my claws on him as I pounced, but he was fast. Quickly evading my attacks like it was nothing till he managed to gain the upped hand and gave me a hard kick on my side.
I held back the whimper that wanted to come out. The pain of that single kick was excruciating. I even found it a bit hard to stand back up.
Then the sight I saw on the battle filled shocked me.
The council's warriors seem to be down. Withering in pain which left them completely vulnerable.
And Marcus's forces only took this as their chance.
Some still tried to fight, but the pain must have been unbearable as they still fell.
The remainder of my army also tried to help, but it proved difficult since they also had to watch out for themselves as they to were being attacked.
'More lives are going to be lost if I don't do something. I can't just give in to the pain. I can't just give up. Right now, my only chance at ever saving anyone, was to kill Marcus.'
Getting back up, I dug my claws deep into the ground as I glared at the hybrid in front of me.
"Well, I guess there's no other choice then." I hear him say before a more sinister smile appeared on his face.
