Chapter 14

Garreth's POV

I saw the familiar glow of Jayden's blood red eyes and extreme worry filled me as he half-shifted, giving a loud animalistic snarl in the end as he eyed the werecat prince.

"This is bad. Really bad." I heard Jonathan say as he looked at his son.

"W-What's... What is h-happening to him??" I looked over to Darryl and saw with with a very shocked expression which mirrored Leo's as well.

The werecat alpha then looked to me as if asking for an explanation. "We'll explain everything later, but for now... Everyone here might be in real danger."

Darryl's POV

Stunned.

Lost for words. But most of all...

Fearful at what I was seeing in front of me. Jayden had shifted into... I don't even know what.

But the amount of raw power he gave off made me want to drop to my knees and cower beneath him. Looking at the crowd, I already saw some shaking on their knees as they exposed their necks to the powerful wolf.

Jayden eyed Jacob. As if he was waiting for what the prince would do first before he made his own move.

"We have to stop this." I hear Jonathan say as he looked at Garreth who agreed with him.

"How can we even do that?? We have no power here Alpha." Mikey said.

"The King. We have to talk to the King to stop this fight before things really get out of hand." Jonathan said before turning towards me and Leo.

Understanding what they were saying, I nodded my head as I lead them to King Luther.

But it looked like we weren't fast enough as Jayden suddenly pounced on the unsuspecting prince who only managed to dodge him by leaping sidewards.

Jacob then tried to counter by swiping at Jayden with his claws but the latter was to fast and dodged this before using his own claws to slice the side of the werecat earning a pain filled snarl from the prince before lifting him off of the ground and throwing him towards the crowd who only managed to get out of the way.

Reaching the place where the King and his council stood, I immediately tried to catch their attention as they looked with horror at what was happening.

"My King!!"

King Luther's POV

What's happening??

I don't understand, how could this wolf draw so much power...

"My King!!"

I turned to my side and saw the other wolves along with Darryl and Leo standing there.

"You have to stop the fight!!!" One of the wolves said as he looked directly at me.

"Stop the fight??" One of my council said. "You wolves have already heard the terms. The fight doesn't end unless your wolf makes the prince submit. Or he dies trying to do it."

"Are you stupid?!?!" What looked like to be the youngest of the wolves shouted at the council. "Jayden isn't just going to make him submit!!! In his state right now, he's going to fucking rip your prince apart!! And you're lucky if he's just going to stop there!! Your whole pride is in fucking danger!!"

Sensing his urgency, I turned to the fight that was still happening and saw Jayden slowly approaching my son who was still trying to get up but then I saw the long slices on his side making my worry for his safety grow.
