Chapter 84

Jayden's POV

After the meeting, we met with the rogue alphas to discuss the real plan that we had. I trusted everyone in the room so I was certain that none of them was the spy.

"So I think we should approach our attack first by scouting the terrain east of Marcus's camp unless ypur scouts have already done that." One of the rogue alphas said.

"I never sent any scouts to his camp. And we aren't going to attack from the east." I said after a while. We were in Darryl's office since it was the only place big enough for all of us where nobody else can eavesdrop on our conversations.

Looks of confusion could be seen on their faces when they heard what I said.

"But in the meeting a while ago, you said we were going to head in from the east." One of them said.

"What I'm going to say stays between all of us here, alright?? Do I have your word??" They all gave me assuring nods after that.

"Marcus has another spy with us." They all looked surprised by this. All of them knew what happened with Taylor, Kate, Tracy and Leo and they are not happy. I have even yet to explain the situation with Leo and Tracy.

"Who??"

"Unfortunately, we don't know the identity of this spy just yet, Alphas." Garreth spoke up.

"And we don't have to just yet. Cause we're going to use Marcus's own spy against him." Timothy then added.

The rogue alphas seemed to think for a moment before realization hit them.

"What you said in the meeting. It was false information that you wanted the spy to give to Marcus." One said.

"Exactly." I said. " And moreover, we have eyes and ears of our own in Marcus's camp."

"Who??"

"Leo, the beta of Clawtooth, and Tracy." When I said that, they immediately looked at me differently.

"Wait, aren't two of Marcus's spies?? Why would we trust any information coming from them??" One of them said.

"I can assure you alphas, that whatever my Beta and pride member did, they did it unwillingly." Darryl defended.

"What do you mean??"

"Marcus blackmailed my Beta into helping him by threatening his mate. And with Tracy, she was just really concerned for her friend so she helped him. I assure you, they're still with our side." The rogues still didn't look that convinced so I took the chance to speak.

"Alpha Darryl's telling the truth. What Leo and Tracy did, they did it for the safety of the Beta's mate. When we were still at the capital, they personally came to explain this to us. They are also the ones who are giving us information on Marcus and his movements. And actually, we're very lucky we have them there." I ended.

"If that's the case then.. I guess they really weren't at fault. Using one's own mate against him is... just plain wrong." One said. "So what information did they give you?? And what's the real plan??"

"Marcus has another army that he's hidden for months. Apparently, the bastard is anticipating us to attack and wanted to surprise us with this when we do."

"If we didn't know this beforehand, this war would have been lost." One rogue alphas said. "So what are we going to do?? I'm going to guess that what you said in the meeting about attacking in the east was so that Marcus would send this army there to meet us."

"Correct." I said gesturing them to look at the map on the table. "Once the spy informs Marcus of this, Tracy, Leo and his mate will see to it that that's the move that Marcus will make. And once he sends his army to the east side, we'll move in from the west. Leo found a wide clearing here. This is where the battle will take place. Away from Marcus's main camp and further away from the east where he'll send his other army."
