3rd person's POV
Jayden, Maddison and the three warlocks gazed upon the smirking wolf in front of them.
Tobias and gis two friends were confused as to who this stranger was, but Jayden and his mate knew the wolf all too well.
"Honestly, I'm not surprised to see that you left and betrayed your own pack to join Marcus's side. Choosing the cowardly way to avoid facing the results of your own decisions." Jayden growled out. "You really have a lot to pay for, Jason."
Hearing the name, the warlocks immediately knew who this wolf was to Jayden along with his mate.
For it was the wolf that nearly destroyed their very future as mates.
A chuckle pulled them out of their thoughts. Making them turn to look back at the once ally of the pack wolves.
"I really don't think that you're in the position to say such brave words, Omega. Look around you. Completely outnumbered. Your army is slowly falling apart. And with the help of the Vampire Lord, you have no chance to survive by the end of tonight." He then gave a sinister laugh which only irked Jayden even more.
The Dark Wolf then turned towards the three warlocks.
His crimson eyes enough to silently tell them on what to do, to which they carefully eyed the traitorous wolf in front of them before hurrying back to prepare for the spell that they had planned on doing.
"Well that's the thing." Jayden said, turning back to the wolf as Maddison gave out a low growl. "We're not too keen on giving up just yet."
"Though so." Jason scoffed before chuckling. "That only proves my point on how foolish you truly are, Omega. Maddison had no luck at all when the Goddess proclaimed you as her mate that day." He said, looking at the she-wolf at the end.
Maddison in turn gave him a loud snarl. Voicing out her great distaste at what Jason had just said out.
But he just smiled.
Making it know that for him, the she-wolf's warning had no effect on him.
But the same cannot be said with Jayden's.
As some vampires and rogues went to stand beside Jason, Jayden let out a loud and threatening snarl of his own. Making their knees give out a slight buckle at the power.
Jayden's dad and the others were still busy fighting so the two mates had no other choice but to face Jason and his group on their own.
And with that, Jason along with the vampires and rogues went on to their assault.
Jayden's POV
As Maddison and I readied ourselves as Jason and his warriors closed in, with the bastard himself leading them as he shifted into his wolf.
But as they were a mere few feet from us, a large body with black fur clashed into their group. Following it, a loud roar rang.
That's when I saw a large black panther tearing into a rogue wolf. At first, I thought it was Darryl, but this panther held more power compared to the said werecat Alpha so the only one I could think of as the identity of the cat was the royal werecat prince.
Jacob. Darryl's cousin.
Catching its scent, I quickly confirmed that it was in fact Jacob.
Getting over their initial surprise, Jason and his group moved to attack the werecat prince, but it was then that more werecats came. Seeing as their prince was in need of their help.
