Rose/Maddison's POV

Its been two days since it happened. I had told Steven and Elise what had happened and they have been so supportive to me.

Every once in a while I'd see Jayden since we live in the same roof but there would be no words between us which would give me an aching feeling in my chest.

Fia would always whine out a she more than anything just wanted to be with her mate.

She and I both.

And the fact that George would bug as every now and then wasn't helping at all.

Like just a while ago as I was just sitting under a tree trying to take my mind off of my mate, he suddenly approached me and asked if I wanted to hangout with him later.

Of coarse I said no but he kept on pushing and pushing me to agree until I just snapped and told him off but he only gave me a smirk before walking away.

To say that I changed in a span of two day would be and understatement.

Normally I'd have more patience when it came to my temper but now I'd just snap cause of the smallest of things.

But then I'd feel guilty afterwards...

Honestly, my emotions were just all over the place.

"Madds. Are you sure you want to train today?? I could just tell them that you still don't feel good, or something." Giving out a sigh as I turned to look at the vampire, I then gave him small smile.

"I've missed training for two days already, Steven. And honestly I don't know why they listened when you said I was sick. Supernaturals don't get easily sick you know."

"Well, to tell you the truth they didn't really believe me at first but.." he gave me a worried look as he didn't finish his sentence.

But I already knew what he was about to say.

"My mate told you that it was alright." I said and he gave me a single nod as an answer.

"I just don't get it. You had the chance to tell him, Maddison. So why didn't you??" I didn't answer, hoping that he'll leave it be but it seemed that I was wrong.

"Madds??"

"I'm afraid." I whispered out and on hearing that, he moved closer to me since we were both sitting on my bee.

"Afraid of what?? That he'll be mad at you??" I sucked in a breath before turning to look at the concerned eyes of my friend.

" Partly. But I'm really afraid of what the Fates will do if I defy them. They could make Jayden and mine's life even more difficult than it already is."

"But you'd be together." He quickly said in a soft tone.

"I'm really scared of what might happen, Steven. Like what you had said, what if he gets mad at me for hiding the truth from him and in the end decides that he doesn't want to be with me??" My breathing had now became shaky at this point.

I then felt a hand on my back which made me flinch at the sudden sensation but then calmed down when it was just Steven.

"I'm really pathetic. A coward." I whispered.

"You're not a coward." He said in a serious tone. "I don't know any other supernatural that has been in the situation that you're in right now Maddy. And you have bravely faced everything head on. But it's okay to be afraid of the unknown. And that does NOT make you a coward."

What he said really made me feel a bit better. "Thanks Steven." I smiled.

"Now how about we head to training before we're late??" I added and he gave me nod before we both head out of my room, making our way to the training fields.
