Chapter 122

Jayden's POV

Maddison and I slowly made out way towards the building where apparently, meetings in the capital takes place in.

Lucas was safely in my arms as he looked around with his eyes curiously.

We soon reached the building where a few wolves lingered outside of the doors. A few of which who I recognized as some of the warriors from Alpha Nick's pack.

They all eyed me wearily, but I didn't mind them. Though when one of them went to look at my mate with lust in his eyes, a low growl erupted from me which made them almost jump in surprise.

"If you don't want to lose your head, I suggest you look away." I growled out in annoyance which made them all scurry inside the building like the cowardly alpha they had.

But my growl might have scared my son sin he started crying when the warriors left.

"Sorry bud. Did I scare you??" I said as I tried to calm him down. He kept on crying as we entered the very huge meeting hall.

Well, it had to be big since it had to house so many of us as well as everyone who stayed in the capital.

I could see the council talking with Garreth beside the big stage. Mom was sitting beside Sebastian, Lina and Christina (Maddison's mom).

Elise was also there, sitting beside Julius and his son Tobias who didn't look that well in the moment.

Darryl sat beside his cousin Jacob along with the other werecats.

So all in all, everyone was inside the hall waiting for the meeting to finally start.

"I'll see you later, okay??" I said to my mate as I carefully handed her Lucas who didn't protest as Maddison took him from me.

"Okay. I'll be there with your mom if you look for me." She said before slowly walking off while I made my way to the stage.

I could feel multiple eyes looking at me which wasn't a surprise since not only were the ones I had formed an alliance with are in this area but also the other pack wolves who have an absolute hate for me.

I didn't care though. They can hate me all they want but it wasn't like they can do anything to me.

"Ahh, Jayden you're here. We can now begin the meeting then." Rick said when he saw me approaching.

"I guess." I said since I didn't know what to say to him at that.

"Good. Please excuse us Alpha Garreth." He said before he and the rest of the council made their way up the stage.

I gave my alpha a knowing look to which he replied with a nod before walking off while I stood there waiting for Rick to call me.

"Everyone please, settle down. We're going to start meeting." Rick's authoritive tone was heard which made everyone quiet down as they listened.

"Alright, now I'd like to thank everyone for coming in such short notice to this meeting. It's a little tight fit here in the hall with our newly found allies but the meeting shouldn't take long." He continued. "There's avery important announcement to be made tonight. But we won't ve the ones who will tell you."

At that, they all seemed confused as to what Rick had meant by this.

"Tonight, we will let Jayden Grey honor us with the announcement. For he and his friends and allies made the contents of the announcement possible." Hearing my name, I took that as my que to walk up the stage towards where Rick stood.
