I already named a chapter this but I'm too lazy to think of something else

"Hurry up, we're late!" Padme called, standing at the entrance to the club.

"We're meeting Obi-Wan and Satine. Obi-Wan already knows I'm late to everything, so he wouldn't expect anything less," Anakin chuckled as he joined his wife at the door.

"Yes well, unlike you, I like to be on time to things. So, come on," she joked, linking her arm through his. He smiled, pulling open the door for her.

"SURPRISE!"

The word rang out through the entire room. Anakin froze, dropping Padme's arm in shock.

"Wha...?" he began, his head turning from side to side.

"Happy birthday!" Padme cheered, standing on her tiptoes to kiss him on the cheek. Though Anakin didn't know when his actual birthday was, Obi-Wan had donned it as the day that he had been brought to the temple.

Speaking of Obi-Wan, he was at the front of the crowd of people who had come together to surprise him, standing beside Satine.

"Happy birthday, Anakin," he greeted, stepping forward to wrap him in a hug. Anakin numbly hugged him back, his mouth still hanging open as he stared around the room in awe.

"How did you all manage to do this?" he finally spoke, greeting Satine with a hug as well.

"You know a lot of people with connections," Padme spoke, hugging Obi-Wan and Satine as well.

"Happy birthday, Uncle Anakin!" called Korkie, standing beside his mother.

"Th-thank you," Anakin managed to say, spinning in a circle to get a good look at everyone.

There was Serra and Cedar, two twi'lek kids he had been friends with when he lived on Tatooine. He smiled, glad that they had been freed.

There was Dex, and two of his waiters that he had become friends with.

He beamed as the familiar voices of clones surrounded him, the 501st wrapping him in a huge group hug, chorusing,

"Happy birthday, General!"

"Thank you so much," he sputtered again, tears forming in his eyes. How had he not realized how many people cared about him?

Some Jedi from the council had even showed up, despite the fact that they were still angry with him and Obi-Wan for leaving the order.

Yoda gave him a small wave, as did Master Plo.

Anakin was happy to see that Mace Windu had not shown up.

There were some of his friends that he had made at Padme's galas.

There were members of the 212th.

There was-

He froze, eyes finally coming in contact with the last person he had expected to see there. It seemed like the noise had all stopped for a moment as the 501st freed him from their grasp, making a pathway from him to-

"Ahsoka?" he asked timidly, the slow tears still dripping down his cheeks. "Ahsoka!" he cheered, rushing to meet her in the middle of the floor.

She ran at him, eyes suspiciously watery as well as she wrapped her arms around him, face pressed firmly into his chest.

"Well, this was certainly the biggest surprise," he cried, feeling her shaking in his arms from her own sobs.

Her knees buckled, and they both sunk to the floor, not caring that they were in the middle of a giant crowd.

"Thank you so much," he repeated, squeezing her tighter to emphasize each word. "Thank you for being here."

"How could I not?" she finally spoke, still not raising her head. "Happy birthday, Mas- Anakin."

Anakin laughed, rocking her playfully from side to side.

"Wasn't planning on getting so emotional," she laughed, pulling back to look him in the eye. They both instinctively reached forward to wipe the tears off of each other's faces, causing them both to laugh once more, falling forward into another hug.

"Who's gonna tell them this is all on video?" Satine chuckled. Anakin and Ahsoka's heads whipped to the side to see that both a Padme and Obi-Wan had pulled out their holo-devices to record their reunion.

"Extra surprise," Padme giggled.

"I love you," Anakin said back to her.

Ahsoka, being the more composed of the two, pulled her knees forward, took both of Anakin's hands, and helped him up off of the ground.

"We have so much to talk about," she said, tilting her head to look up at her old master.

"Look at you!" he exclaimed. "Force, I can't believe how much you grew," he choked out, voice cracking slightly.

"Don't worry, I'm still the same 'Snips' as always," she giggled in reply. Anakin wiped a hand across his face

"Better be," he grumbled, still shaking slightly from the shock.

They both laughed.

Hey, wanna know why im posting this at 1 am??

Because of school, that's why!

Some important advice to all of you: if you're someone like me who is bad at motivation, DO NOT TAKE AN AP CLASS

ESPECIALLY GOV

I HATE IT WITH ALL OF MY BEING

sorry for the rant, I'm just slowly losing my sanity to this class. I have 30 pages to read and annotate, a 10 minute video to watch and take notes on, a worksheet to fill out, and then a 2 page long vocab list to look up definitions for.

I want to die (for legal reasons, this is a joke)

Leave ideas if ya want and have a great... morning :/
