Sick (Again)

"Ahsokaaa!" sang Anakin's voice as the door to their quarters closed.

Ahsoka's montrals perked as soon as she heard him. She sat up in her bed, trying her best to ignore her pounding headache.

That morning, after lots of complaining, acting, and a very convincing makeup job to cover the dark spots on her lekku, Anakin had won the battle of making Ahsoka skip out on their mission due to her sickness.

"Finally!" she cried as he entered her bedroom. "What took you so long?!"

"Well... I was fighting... in a war... and they don't exactly give you a set schedule for when you can stop-" his joke was interrupted as one of Ahsoka's pillows came flying at his head. He quickly dodged it and tossed it back at her. "I don't want your pillow anywhere near me. I might get Ahsoka sickness!" he teased. She stuck her tongue out at him.

"Anything bad happen? I swear I could feel your death through the force at least three times."

"That, my Padawan, sounds like you being anxious and paranoid. Why were you so worried?" Anakin asked, sitting down at the foot of her bed.

"I wasn't there to watch your back," she replied simply, shrugging her shoulders. Anakin smiled. "Well, I'm sure that you could've contributed a lot if you were there." 

Ahsoka wrinkled her nose.

"Is that supposed to make me feel better?"

"I thought it would..." Anakin answered. "I've told you this a million times, Snips. I'm not very good at making people feel better."

"Clearly," Ahsoka repsoned, the corner of her mouth lifting slightly. She inhaled as if she were about to say something, but her mouth quickly became occupied with a coughing fit. She doubled over, gasping for air between each cough.

"Whoa! Take it easy!" Anakin called, crawling up her bed to pat her back. "You okay?"

"I feel like garbage, Master."

"Ohhh." Anakin wrapped his arm around her, rubbing her shoulder.

"Oh! You should probably get away. I don't wanna get you sick!" Ahsoka said suddenly.

"Oh, Snips, it's alright. As your master, it's my job to make sure you're okay... regardless of how that effects me," he replied with a smile. "Oh! You know what Obi-Wan always did to make me feel better? He would throw me!"

"Excuse me?" Ahsoka asked, recoiling from her Master's grip.

"Onto my bed. It's fun," he promised, standing up. "Trust me."

"Sometimes it's hard to," Ahsoka muttered. Anakin lifted her into his arms, one hand under the crook of her knees, the other around her back.

"Of course... I was much smaller when Obi-Wan used to do this to me," he grumbled. He swung her back and forth, counting with each swing. "One... two... three!" He tossed her onto her mattress, glad to hear the giggles that escaped from her mouth as she bounced back onto her pillow.

"You were right!" she agreed, still laughing as Anakin knelt beside her bed.

"Alright, get some sleep now, Little One," he whispered, pulling her blankets to her chin and kissing her feverishly warm forehead gently.

"Goodnight," she murmured, closing her eyes.

"Goodnight."

Based on the fact that I always throw my younger siblings onto their beds when i put them to sleep lol

soooo (more mando spoilers in case you havent watched yet... and if you havent gO WATCH IT NOW)

Who are yall thinking the jedi is gonna be? Im certain that itll be either ezra or luke. I REAAALLLY want it to be luke played by sebastian stan. I want ahsoka and luke interactions. please and thank you. and i want anakin to talk to them through the force. Im also lowkey expecting a rebels sequel to be officially announced any day now. i dont think that ahsoka and sabine will go looking for ezra in mando cuz that would take away from the plot a little bit, so im pretty certain that we'll get some spin off for that pretty soon.

I'm SO OVERWHELMED by this show oh my goshhhh. I love that i have no idea what's gonna happen because i wasnt able to have this feeling for the originals and prequels when they were coming out (and we dont talk abt the sequels bc they do not count in my canon lol. not gatekeeping just like what ya like :)) so this is soooo special. 

I want more content. scratch that I NEED more content before i go insane lmao.
