okay sooo this chapter is basically happening bc of a crossover emmy and i came up with on a call the other day and... let's just say that if you're a marvel fan (specifically one who's watched "what if?"), you're going to enjoy this :)

"Well, I'm sorry," Obi-Wan said softly. "For what it's worth—I hope you know that I'm on your side."

"A bit difficult for me to believe after you've explained that you disagree with almost all of my morals and values," Satine laughed, sliding a hand through her hair.

"That's true... sometimes. When it comes to everything directly inside of your family, I will always support you," he replied, trying to find her eyes in the dark of the broken down bar. Finding a nice place for dinner was difficult while on the run (again, Obi-Wan reminded himself).

So there they sat, escaped from Mandalore and Maul, but with no money, shelter or means of transportation. Nothing but the clothes on their backs.

"Just like old times, I guess," Satine chuckled, sipping her drink. "On the run together."

"Yes," Obi-Wan agreed, flinching slightly when the lights flickered on for a moment, revealing that he and Satine were much closer to one another than he had initially thought, her wide eyes telling him that she was just as surprised as him.

She blinked slowly, their faces only inches apart.

"Just like old times indeed," Obi-Wan whispered, leaning in.

He closed his eyes, his lips hovering just over hers, when—

"Hey!" called a familiar voice from outside of the window, pulling both of them from the moment. "Snips stole a speeder!"

"Anakin?!" Obi-Wan exclaimed, both his and Satine's head swiveling in the direction of the transparisteel window.

And sure enough, there he was, his padawan not far behind him with speeder keys in her hands and a smirk on her face to rival Anakin's.

She waved.

Obi-Wan waved back, awkwardly.

"I was going to say that a 'thanks, Anakin and Ahsoka' would be nice for just saving both of your asses, but I'll let it go because you seem to be in the middle of a moment here," Anakin said, crossing his arms over his chest with a smug look on his face.

"I—" Satine began.

"No, no, no, no," Anakin laughed, waving his arms in front of himself before leaning his chin down on the windowsill. "Continue, just pretend I'm not here, go on."

Ahsoka honked the horn of the bike to get the couple's attention before holding her hands in the shape of a heart in front of her, making Anakin laugh.

"Enough, you two," Obi-Wan sighed hoping his face was not as red at Satine's seemed to be in the speeder's headlights.

"Alright, come on!" Ahsoka called, honking the horn unnecessarily once again. "We haven't got all night, lovebirds."

She slammed her hand on the horn again.

"Knock it off, Snips," Anakin said with a roll of his eyes, placing his hands on her waist as he took his seat behind her.

"Hey, remind me who stole this again?" she countered, honking it again to drown out Anakin's response.

"Whatever," he grumbled, waving Obi-Wan and Satine out of the abandoned bar with another smirk. "Let's go."
