"where are you taking me?" i could not see anything other than darkness. i felt the cold air, and damp grass beneath my feet. shawn's hand was the only thing that brought me warmth as he guided me eagerly.

"stop asking questions," he stopped causing me to stumble slightly, he stepped behind me and put his hands on my waist, "it's a surprise you dork."

his fingers tangled in my hair as he untied my blindfold, i kept my eyes close until he gave me the okay. i heard a soft crackle and a light heated up my face. i knew it was a fire, but what is he doing.

"okay, you can look now." i opened my eyes to see blankets laid out on beside a huge campfire. snacks sprawled out everywhere, and a cooler filled with drinks.

"shawn!" i yelled excitedly as i turned around. he had a proud smile as he took another look for himself. i engulfed him into a hug causing him to let out a deep chuckle.

"come on baby." he said leading me over the blankets. we both sat down and began digging into the snacks. luckily, he got all of my favorites.

"i'm glad you like it." he said cracking open a soda.

"i love it, i've never had someone do anything like this for me." i said before shoving another gummy worm into my mouth.

"well you deserve it." he said dropping his arm over my shoulders. i leaned into his side and closed my eyes. the smell of his cologne filled my nose along with the smoke from the fire.

"the next few months are going to suck." i said causing his body to tense up slightly.

he pushed me closer to him and took a deep breath, "i know, i wish you could come with me."

"me too." i said softly.

shawn would be leaving for his next world tour in a few days, and considering how hard things were last time, i'm not mentally prepared to do it again.

i leaned up and brought my knees to my chest as i watched the smoke rise from the bright orange flames.

"things will be different this time, we're stronger now." he assured as he rubbed circles on my back.

"i'm just gonna miss you." i said resting my head on my knees and looking over at him.

"well, just remember we lay under the same stars." he said titling his head back.

i laughed at the fact he quoted one of his own songs and laid back. the twinkling lights shining up the dark. as cheesy as it was, it brought me comfort and peace.

"i'm so in love with you, and i always will be." he said causing me to look away from the night sky. his brown eyes staring deep into mine.

"you better." i said before leaning in to give him a kiss.

i thought this was sweet, and i was also listening to never be alone/hey there delilah and ugh i miss the illuminate tour so much

def my favorite concert i've ever been to but i could be biased :)
