nightmare

"we've done all we can, I'm so sorry." The doctor gave me a sympathetic look before he walked out the door.

The room spun around me as I came crashing down. The boy laid lifeless on the white bed, and there was nothing I could to save him.

"I love you so much," I whispered family.

My eyes shot open as my chest heaved up and down quickly. I gasped for air as I looked around the room.

"Y/n," his raspy voice made relief wash over me, "baby what's wrong?" He asked becoming concerned.

"I just had a nightmare," I said swallowing hard as I slowly laid back down.

"Come here." He said wrapping his arm around my waist as he pulled me closer. "What happened in your dream?" He asked as he brushed a stray hair behind my ear.

"I don't really know. I just know that I was in a hospital, and you had died and I just thought I lost you. I don't-," he cut me off my shaking his head and running his thumb along my chin.

"Well, I'm not going anywhere anytime soon." He assured before kissing me softly.

I nodded and placed my head against his chest as I held onto him tightly.

"Now get some sleep darling, I love you." He said running his fingers through my hair.

"I love you too."
