Chapter 139

I was about to ask Levi if he was okay but he suddenly pulled me into a strong hug.

I wrapped my arms around him.

"I'm scared too. But we can't just back out now. Don't worry about me. I've survived death, I know I'll be fine after childbirth. As long as you're by my side, I'll be okay." I comforted, running my fingers through his hair.

I noticed it was starting to get a bit long.

"You'll need to get a trim." I pointed out.

"Tch. I haven't had time to do it. Look at Eren for Pete's sake, his hair looks messy." Levi mumbled.

"If you want, I can do it." I suggested.

"Do you even know how to cut hair?" Levi asked.

"I mean I have cut my own hair before, and I've cut my uncle's hair a few times. Don't worry, I've got steady hands." I replied.

"I'll think about it." Levi answered.

I quickly leaned up and gave him a quick kiss, which caught him off guard a little.

"We need to get back now. I have to head back to work now, but I'll make sure you get back."

"Don't worry about it. I can walk by myself. I might swing by and see how Grace is doing." I answered.

"Are you sure?"

I nodded my head and smiled.

Levi squeezed my hand and then began to walk off.

I walked the opposite direction.

I had met up Eren and Historia again. They were outside on the farm watching the kids play.

"Hey." I greeted, walking over.

"Hello (y/n), how did your appointment go?" Historia asked, clasping my hands with hers.

"Everything is well. Although I'm not allowed to do any work until the baby is born. I don't really mind." I replied.

"Any concerns?" Eren asked.

"Only my illness. The midwife is worried that the strain of birth might be too much for me. But I think I'll be okay." I replied.

"Think? Have a bit more confidence than that, (y/n)." Historia teased.

I smiled.

"You don't think you'll accidently transform while giving birth?" Historia wondered.

Both Eren and I began to laugh at that question.

Historia seemed surprised by our reaction and she went red in the face.

"That won't happen. I've trained myself enough to control when I want to transform, and that includes when I'm injured as well. I can be stabbed and I won't transform unless I want to." I explained.

"Yeah I've gotten better at controlling that too." Eren mentioned.

Suddenly a group of kids ran over to us, including Dimitri.

"Doctor Zaki. We know you're about to have your baby and that you won't be able to come around for a while, but we wanted to thank you for helping us when we were sick or hurt." A young girl spoke.

"Aww, I'm more than happy to help." I replied, rubbing her head.

I noticed Dimitri was holding something behind his back. He brought his arms out and he was holding a handful of lily flowers.

"Here! Girls like flowers right?" Dimitri blurted out, with his face blushing.

"Hehe. Yes I do. Thank you, Dimitri." I took the flowers and leaned down and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
