Chapter 45

Reiner punched Eren in the face which sent him flying meters away.

"Shit, don't tell me these two are going to go at it." Stuttered a soldier. Mikasa went zipping towards Reiner, aiming for the nape.

"Mikasa no!!" I called out. She sliced but it only shattered her blade. "What?! That did absolutely nothing, he didn't even flinch when Eren attacked him. Damn, guess he really does speak for his name." I murmured, as my grip around my blades tightened.

"This is bad, he's different from Annie, his armour is all over and it's staying put. What can we do against him?" Armin questioned. We saw Mikasa stabbing at the armour, and Eren rising to his feet. He began roaring and threw a punch at Reiner. He then punched back and Eren went flying again.

"This is going nowhere, what the hell can we do?"

"They are two monsters fighting."

"This is nothing I've ever seen..." I whispered. Eren got back up as Reiner was slowly staggering towards him. Armin and I zipped over closer to Eren.

"Stop Eren! You can't win in a fist fight! Make a break for the walls!" Armin called out. Eren began roaring again. "Oh no!"

"He's blinded by rage." I pointed out. What the hell are we supposed to do? At this rate Eren is bound to lose. I looked down at my hands.

"You have the power to beat him, I can show you that power."

I clenched my jaw. No. I won't give in.

"You're a weakling human, but if accept me, I can give you strength more power than the Armoured. What do ya say, (y/n)?"

"No..."

Reiner went for another punch, but this time Eren managed to dodge and put him into an armlock choking position They both collapsed to the ground.

"What the hell?!" I blurted.

"That's... Holy crap! That's Annie's technique!" Armin pointed out, as we all looked astonished. Eren put him in more lock positions which seemed effective. I noticed that the armour began cracking.

"It's working, as long as he keeps up with locks, he may still have a chance." I murmured. Reiner tried standing up but Eren pulled him back down again. The tables have turned. Eren ripped his arm off. We were all shocked. Eren backed up.

"Eren! Can you hear me? Run away, head to the wall! They're trying to abduct you and we can't let them do that! Trust me! Escape is our best option." Armin explained.

"You say that, but Armin come on, they're not just gonna let us leave." Mikasa pointed out. Reiner was growling as he stood back up.

"Both of you get up here now! It's not safe on the ground." I warned. They hesitated but they zipped back up. Suddenly Eren sped straight to the wall.

"Nice job Eren." I complimented.

"Looks like he's in control again. But Reiner's not just gonna let him go." Mikasa mentioned.

"You're right, escape's impossible." Armin murmured. Reiner was slowly making his way towards us.

"Reconsider, (y/n), you have the power to stop him with just a single hit. You feel it, you feel the urges to fight."

I shook my head side to side. No, I'm not going to give in to myself. As long as Eren is safe. I looked up and noticed Berthold's body began to evaporate. Hange zipped down and landed on Eren's shoulder.

"Listen up, Eren. If we're going to get you out of here, you've got to buy us some time. Stop Reiner dead in his tracks! Think you can manage to break off one of his legs with another one of those joint holds? Our blades don't do much good against him. He can't be outmuscled but he can be outsmarted if you play him right." Hange explained. Eren nodded and Hange had a face of excitement like child on Christmas. "I'm counting on you!" Hange zipped back onto the side of the wall. Eren turned to face Reiner.

"(y/n)...."

Suddenly Reiner began to run, and he tackled Eren to the ground, throwing a punch towards him. He missed and Eren grabbed a hold of him.

"Don't let Reiner pin you! Get up Eren! You have to get up!!" I called out. Eren kicked him off and took a few steps back.

"We are completely useless." Hange murmured.

"No, it's not visible that his body is as hard as stone to head to toe, he couldn't move as fast if that were the case. Warriors shield themselves in armour, way back in the olden days. They had to leave certain parts uncovered for freedom of movement, such as the armpits and groin. Even the spot behind the knee." I explained.

Hange cheered. We looked, and Reiner tackled Eren to the ground again, this time being locked down by Eren's legs.

"Mikasa, you and I go for the knees! Now!" I shouted. We both zoomed down and sliced down the weak spots of his knees.

"Nice cut!" Hange called out. Mikasa landed against the tree and I went next to Hange again. Eren was pulling and tugging and more of Reiner's armour shattered. Everyone began cheering Eren on. Reiner dug his fingers into the ground and began dragging himself forwards which was odd. Maybe trying to escape or something. He stopped due to his weakened legs.

"Why would he suddenly stop here?" I wondered. I looked up and realized he was directly under the Colossal. Suddenly Reiner began roaring.

"Everyone be on guard! He's calling for backup!" Hange warned. He stopped, and we waited a few minutes but there were no sign of titans. Nothing at all.

"No visual on incoming titans yet."

"He ain't got a chance in hell."

"Try screaming for help without a head, asshole!"

No, something's wrong. He knew there were no titans in the area, he wouldn't just scream like that. No, no... He has something planned. I heard some strange noises and I looked up, only to see the Colossal tip the side. I gasped. He's making a break for it.

"ABOVE US!! EVERYONE WATCH OUT!!!!" I bellowed, as he began to fall above us.
