Hang on, what? Did I mishear something or did Erwin really just say that?

"Why so forward?" Levi asked, not sounding surprised with Erwin's request.

"They kidnapped Eren and Historia, injured Hange and killed her whole squad. In a way, it's vengeance for her." Erwin explained.

Erwin doesn't know what happened down there, how my uncle brainwashed me, and I joined sides with the enemy. If he knew... I couldn't imagine what he would say. Though I am surprised no one has mentioned any of it to him.

Is it to protect me?

"Alright fine. Whatever floats your boat. I'll leave soon if that's the case." Levi replied.

"I'm going as well." I spoke up. Erwin looked at me with concern.

"(y/n), I think that you're better off-"

"I said I'm going!" I interrupted, stepping forward. Erwin let out a sigh and sat down in a chair.

"Can I ask why?" Erwin asked. Levi turned to look at me.

I crossed my arms and gave a smirk.

"Because... There's a certain bastard that has a date with a bullet. And if he's dead, then good. But I need to see his corpse." I replied, feeling my voice deepen.

Levi's eyes widened, which meant he know exactly who I was referring to. Although I don't think Erwin hooked on quite well. He lowered his head and nodded.

"Very well then. And another thing, Historia Reiss's coronation is tomorrow, don't miss it." Erwin mentioned. We both nodded, and I gave him a respectful salute.

Levi and I both turned about to leave when Erwin stopped us again.

"I want to ask you, I am aware of your relationship, but why is it that Hange is walking in on you two?" Erwin asked.

I gasped and felt my face grow hot.

Oh no... Hange already told him?! Who else has she told?!

I turned away to face the door, taking my leave when Levi grabbed my arm to stop me. I looked at him with confusion.

"What she saw were two people sharing their love after a separation. And... We intend to get married. It's happening whether you like it or not." Levi pointed out.

Erwin just smiled and rested his elbow on the table.

"I see. I guess it can't be helped then. I wish you both the best of luck." Erwin replied.

Okay, was not expecting that reaction. But... I'm relieved he isn't angry about it.

I saluted him and we both left the office, heading off to get ready.

We were walking in silence until Levi broke the silence.

"What you said back there, you were talking about Kenny, weren't you?" Levi asked.

"So what if I was?" I asked.

"Just curious. Do you want revenge for what he did to you when you were a child? Or when he practically killed you?" Levi asked.

"Both. Of course, there are many others on my list, he's only number two." I replied.

"Who was number one?" Levi wondered.

"I don't know his name, but he's already dead so it doesn't matter." I replied.

"Then why bring it up?"

I didn't bother answering.

We made it to the stables and Levi picked two men to accompany us.
