Chapter 25

Levi and I were in the infirmary. He received a serious leg injury which would take a while to heal. I treated it the best I could.

"You'll be able to walk but running and fighting are out of the question." I explained.

"Yeah, I figured. I need to check your wounds, remember?" Levi pointed out.

"My main issue is my back. I'm sure I can handle it myself." I replied.

"We both now you can't. What, are you shy?" Levi teased. I felt my face grow hot.

"I'm a woman, you're a man, of course I'm shy! I don't exactly take off my shirt in front of every guy!" I blurted.

"Relax. I'll only see your back." He replied. I scrunched my face and looked away.

"There's no way..." I mumbled. Levi stood up and rolled up his sleeves.

"I'll turn around. You just take off your shirt and lay face down on the bed. I promise I won't do anything weird to you." Levi suggested. Just him saying that made my heart beat faster and my face grow warmer. Why Levi of all people?? He turned around and took a few forward. "Hurry it up too."

"Yes sir..." I mumbled. I began to undress, removing my jacket, belts and shirt. I left my bra on since I doubt it would be in the way. I laid down onto the bed and buried my face in the pillow.

"You done yet?" Levi asked.

"Yes..." I mumbled.

Levi's P.O.V

I turned around and I saw (y/n) laying on her stomach with her head buried in the pillow. She still wore her bra but that still didn't mean it didn't feel awkward. I walked over and saw bruises all over her back, but they weren't as bad as I expected.

"So... How's it look?" (y/n) asked, mumbling into the pillow.

"You have bruising around your shoulders and down your spine, but you'll be alright." I explained. I grabbed some pain relief, it was rub on. Great... I have to rub this on her naked back, when she's a shy nervous wreck. I sighed and sat down beside her.

"When can I move?" She asked, turning her head to look at me.

"In a minute. I need to rub on some pain relief. Sit still and don't move." I ordered, dipping my fingers in the jar, scooping out some cream. I lightly touched her back and immediately she made weird noises. "B-Be quiet!" I blurted.

"It's cold...!" She squilled. I sighed and kept rubbing her back. I never imagined I'd do this for someone. This is ridiculous.

Your P.O.V

I laid there still, doing my best not to make a sound. Why am I trembling like this?

When I looked up at Levi, an image of a woman was there, doing the exact same thing. She had long dark hair, and a small smile across her lips. Who is that woman? Do I know her? Is she a part of my forgotten past?

"Levi..." I whispered.

"Hm? What is it?" He questioned.

"That's enough now. I'll be okay..." I murmured. Levi let out a sigh and pulled the blanket over me.

"Put your clothes back on. I'll be taking my leave if you need anything, you know where to find me." Levi exclaimed, walking out of the room. I let out a sigh and let my body go limp for a few minutes.

Everything is happening so fast... Father's disappearance, the deaths of my squad... and my slow fall into madness.

I sat up and put my shirt back on and stood up from the bed. I felt this overwhelming power to find out the truth. I left the infirmary and headed towards my room. As I was walking, I noticed the Armin boy that is friends with Eren and Mikasa. Apparently, he's fought with the female titan head on, and he is a smart looking kid. I might be able to get some answers out of him. I walked over, and he noticed me.

"Is your name Armin?" I asked. He looked slightly nervous.

"Y-Yes Ma'am." He replied.

"My name is (y/n) Zaki. My main role here is titan study, just like Commander Hange. I would very much like your help." I requested, with a gentle smile.

"What would you need me to do?" He asked.

"You came face to face with the Female titan, correct? Well, maybe you could fill me in with what you know." I Replied, crossing my arms. He looked surprised.

"You mean, help you find out her identity?"

"Yes. How about this, you go wait in the mess hall and I'll meet you there with the information I know on titan shifters. This also includes the evidence we collected from Eren." I explained.

"Right!" He replied.

We parted ways. I went to my room and collected my notebook with all my notes on Eren. I also brought my journal for the female titan analysis. I headed straight for the mess hall after that.
