(A/N) Sorry for the long wait, but I present to you a new chapter!!!

"Where will we find these brats?" Levi asked, as he walked beside me.

"Where do you think? Where did you go when you didn't want to be seen?" I asked, not expecting an answer from him. Levi didn't respond.

We were walking down the stairs to the underground once again. I didn't realise it the last time but now that I pay closer attention, the area does look more packed.

"Hopefully it's not too much of a challenge to convince them to come with us." I said to myself. Wait, if I say it like that, it sounds creepy.

We were walking through the stall and I watched people selling food. A few people were fighting over bread. I noticed a small boy sneaking around the stall, hoping to not be seen by the stall owner. He hunched down below the front and reached up to grab a loaf of bread. He grabbed one loaf but unfortunately a few more loaves fell, grabbing the owner's attention.

"Hey!!" He bellowed, as he spotted the boy. The boy panicked and quickly stood up, trying to make a break for it. However, the stall owner was one step ahead of him and scruffed him by his shirt.

"Hey you brat! You gonna pay for that?!" He was practically spitting on the poor boy's face. He turned his face away and tried kicking the man.

"Let go of me!!" He cried out.

"Brats like you who steal need to be punished!" He raised his fist preparing to hit the boy. The boy flinched, squeezing his eyes shut.

Before anything could happen, Levi and I quickly rushed over to stop him. Levi grabbed his wrist and yanked him back.

"What the-"

I grabbed the boy and pulled him towards me.

"Are you okay?" I asked the boy. He looked at me in shock, but he nodded his head without saying word.

"What do you think you're doing?!" The man asked, as he ripped his arm out of Levi's grasp.

"We could be asking you the same thing." Levi retorted.

"This brat was stealing from me! I was only teaching him a lesson." He blurted, as he shot a glare towards him.

"Beating him isn't going to fix anything. He's just hungry." I spoke up.

"Open your eyes lady, we're all hungry! You want to eat? You pay for it!" He bellowed.

"Fine then, here." I reached into my pocket and pulled out a few coins, handing it to the man.

"Keep the change. Don't go beating up kids again." I warned, glaring at him. Levi grabbed a few more loaves since the money I gave could afford a few more loaves.

I placed my hand on the boy's shoulder and smiled down at him.

"Now then, shall we go?" I suggested. He looked unsure but he nodded his head.

We quickly rushed off and went behind an alley. We stopped and quickly caught our breath. I looked over to the boy, who was leaning against the wall and taking deep breaths.

"Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" I asked. He quickly looked up at me with a frightened expression.

"Relax brat, we aren't going to hurt you." Levi reassured. The boy sent a glare towards him and took a step back in defence.

"I'm not a brat!" He shouted. Levi and I were both surprised with his sudden outburst.

"We didn't mean to offend you. What's your name?" I asked. He turned his gaze back at me and lowered his shoulders.
