The next day, Levi and I already began making our way underground, before everyone woke up. He questioned about the events last night, but I told him it was nothing. I don't even know what it was, however, I still have the nauseous feeling in my gut. Maybe it's due to the fact that I'm stressed.

We were at the gates, and we showed proof of identity and we went underground. It feels strange coming back to this place, even though I was here not long ago.

I was wearing a long skirt and a blouse, which I kinda regret wearing, especially in a place like this. I should have just stuck with my uniform. Levi just wore his regular suit. He was walking beside me, and I knew he was keeping an eye on our surroundings. Considering what happened the last time we were down here, I don't blame him.

"What do you hope to find this time?" Levi asked, breaking the silence.

"I honestly don't know. Evidence that he's being honest about the syrim. There's nothing that talks about it in his journal, so I have to look elsewhere. I doubt I'll find anything though." I explained, looking at the ground.

"Doesn't matter anyway. We have more important things to worry about." Levi replied. I looked at him for a moment, then looked forward again.

"Yeah..."

About an hour of walking, and we finally arrived at my old house. It still looked the same as last time. I opened the door and as soon as we stepped inside, we both let out a gasp.

"What the-"

The place was trashed. Papers were everywhere, furniture was knocked over. It was obvious what had happened.

I rushed inside and looked around to see that most of the papers were torn to shreds. I get if someone was trying to find something money worth, but to just tear up paper like this is just out of the ordinary for a regular robbery. Which means, my uncle was here, and it looks like he was trying to cover something up.

"What happened here?" Levi asked.

"I'm not too sure... but I think my uncle knew I would come back here." I replied.

"So, we won't find anything?"

"I don't know yet, I still have to look." I replied, as I began to scavenge around the house.

First place I have to look is my uncle's room. I went inside and saw the room nearly empty.

"He really wanted to clear up his tracks..." I murmured, as I felt a tinge of annoyance.

I walked over to his bed and ripped the sheets off to see if I could find anything. I went through his draws and his closets, but I found nothing. I clenched my fists and did my best to restrain myself from hitting something. I know what Levi would do anyway.

I let out a sigh and dropped myself onto the bed, and hunched my body over, staring at the wooden floor.

I have no idea what I'm looking for, but clearly, it's something my uncle doesn't want me to find.

Just as I was thinking that, the sudden urge to vomit hit me. I quickly covered my mouth with both hands to stop anything from coming out. I quickly rushed to the bathroom and let it out in the toilet. I chucked up a few times, until finally I was done. I took a few deep breaths, as my head was beginning to hurt.

"Ugh, don't tell me all this stress is getting to me..." I murmured, as I walked over to the mirror on the wall. I looked at my reflection and saw my face looking pale. Please don't tell me I'm coming down with something... I quickly rinsed my mouth out and made my way back to the room.

When I walked in, I noticed something under the bed. It looked like a box of some sort. I walked over and got down to my knees and dragged the box out. It had weight on it, so I knew there was something inside.

Just as I was about the open the box, Levi walked in.

"Are you alright? I heard you throw up." He asked, as he walked over to me.

"I'm fine. I saw something gross and it made me sick." I lied.

"I see." Levi gave me a stern look, which indicated he didn't believe me. His gaze moved to the box.

"What's that?" He questioned.

"I just found it, and I'm about to take a look." I replied, as I began to lift the lid off. The first thing I saw was a tiny blue dress that was folded.

I let out a gasp when I instantly knew where this dress was from. I picked it up and held it in front of me.

It wasn't the vibrant blue from what I remembered. It was filthy, it had rips and tears all over it.

"Where's that from?" Levi questioned.

It took me a second to answer, since a lot of memories were coming back.

"My mother made me this dress for my fourth birthday... I was wearing this dress when she got turned into a titan..." I murmured, as the sadness of that day began to get to me.

I gently placed the dress down beside me and grabbed a photo frame from the box. It was a painting of my mother. It wasn't in the best condition, but I could still make out who it was.

"Your mom was blonde?" Levi questioned.

"Yeah she was. I didn't resemble her that much. My brother looked more like her than I did, I resembled my father more." I replied, as the thought of the four of us being together again made me smile. Though, it'll never happen. My family is dead. Eren is the only family I have.

I rummaged through the box some more and saw a stuffed cat doll that had seen better days.

"Hehe, mother made this for me when I was sick. She would leave a lot at night with father to do something, so she would leave Zeke and I with our grandparents. She made the doll so I wouldn't be lonely. I was especially alone since Zeke was doing training all day, and mother and father would be working." I explained.

"Do you miss those days?" Levi asked.

"Not really. I don't remember much, so I can't say I miss it if I don't remember it. Besides, most of the things I remember were bad. My family was mistreated a lot, and we were discriminated. We were seen as animals and monsters by the Marlyians. Our royal blood meant nothing to them. The Reiss family was the only acknowledged family. Father hated the Marlyians with a passion, so he would work a lot to put a stop to their abuse." I explained.

"I see. I take it that Eren doesn't know anything about this?" Levi wondered.

"I don't think he would. I doubt father would have said a word to him about it." I replied.

I looked through the box a bit more, but I didn't find anything valuable. Everything else was just ruined junk. I let out a sigh and boxed everything back up. I stood up and stretched my arms up.

"There's nothing here..." I murmured.

"Are you done searching then?" Levi asked, walking up behind me. I stared at the bed in front of me and nodded.

"Yes, but there's one last thing I need to do." I replied. I walked out of the room and out to the living room.

Just as I stepped out, I saw three tall men standing in the living room. They had their backs turned to me, and they turned around to greet me with their horrible smiles.

"Oh, hey (y/n). So glad you're home."
