Chapter 23

"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!" Eren bellowed, as he bit his hand. A bright light and explosion went off, as Eren transformed into his titan. The female titan stopped and looked in Eren's direction. I then heard a loud roar, as it echoed through the entire forest. I looked over and saw Eren's titan form for the first time. Eren began sprinting towards her.

I needed to tell someone. I'm not dead, not yet. Which means I can try do something. Besides, my 3DM gear seems to be alright. I managed to sit myself up. My body was aching all over. My back... My shoulders... I pulled myself up into the trees. I placed my hand over my forehead and noticed I was bleeding. I noticed Eren began to fight her.

I need to find Levi!! I began zipping through. I saw Petra, Oulo, Eld... All of them dead. I couldn't even help. I'm so weak... I held my tears back as I zipped through the forest.

Levi's P.O.V

After hearing Eren's roaring, I made my way straight for my squad. I doubt they'd let him transform without a good reason, which means, something's off. (y/n)...

I zipped through and I noticed Gunther hanging upside down from a tree with his neck snapped. I kept going and saw Eld in pieces, Oulo crushed. I saw Petra against a tree trunk... dead...

"LEVI!!" Cried a familiar voice. I looked around and I saw (y/n) speeding over.

"(y/n)!! Over here!!" I called out, speeding over. Her entire face was covered in blood. Bits of her clothes were soaked as well. She saw me and stopped. We both landed on a tree. I held (y/n's) shoulders, so I could get a good look at her face. She was squeezing my shirt. Her entire body was trembling, like she's been running from hell.

"L-Levi!" She cried. She began balling her eyes out.

"What happened here? Did the female titan do this?" I asked. She couldn't even speak, but she nodded her hair.

"Eren... went to fight her... I... I let them all die... It's my fault..." (y/n) was stuttering her words through her tears. She suddenly wrapped her arms around my chest and cried.

"(y/n)..." What am I supposed to say? I need to catch up to Eren, but I can't leave her like this. I slowly wrapped my arms around her. One caressing her head while the other wrapped around her shoulders.

"I'm so sorry... I'm so weak... It should have been me that died... not them..." (y/n) sobbed. I pulled her away and looked directly in her eyes.

"Listen to me, as long as you're alive, your memories of them don't die. They did not die in vain, and it is not your fault! You hear me?"

(y/n) gasped. She wiped her eyes and gave a small nod.

"Which direction did Eren go?" I asked, gripping her shoulders tightly.

"This way... Follow me." (y/n) replied. We zipped through the forest, heading towards Eren.

Your P.O.V

Levi...

"Listen to me, as long as you're alive, your memories of them don't die. They did not die in vain, and it is not your fault! You hear me?"

I'm sorry. I'll continue to fight. From the corner of my eye, I saw Mikasa zip past me.

"Mikasa?! What are you doing?!" I called out. She ignored me and kept going. She must be going after Eren. She was moving too fast that we ended up losing sight of her. We could hear Eren screaming from a distance. I wonder what luck he has against the female titan. I looked over to Levi.

"Levi, what happened? I thought you caught her?" I asked.

"She called reinforcements and she managed to escape." Levi replied. I gasped. I knew it.
