Eren and the others met up in Levi's office, I went ahead after reading the journal. It was still on my mind, and it was beginning to bother me.

Father... Where are you?

I stood in the corner of the room with my arms crossed. The others stood in front Levi's desk, as he was standing as well.

"As I've mentioned before, you will be joining my squad. It seems that the MP's are demanding that Eren and Historia be handed over." Levi explained.

Handed over? Hang on, how did they know about Historia? From my understanding, her surname is Reiss, so that means, she's a distant relative of mine. But what do they want with her?

"So, what would we have to do?" Connie spoke up and asked. I still feel bad for him, he lost his entire village. I don't know what's worse, dying, or living life as a titan. Mother had to suffer over twenty years as a titan, so I think that would be worse.

"For one, we need to go into hiding, and train Eren's titan to harden his skin. Things will get messy from here on out." Levi explained.

"I hope I have what it takes..." Eren murmured.

Since our little encounter, Eren and I haven't talked since. It was too awkward between us to say a word.

"I'll read out the list of who will be joining, so I'm clear. Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, Connie Springer, Jean Kirstein, Sasha Braus, Historia Reiss, and (y/n) Zaki as second in command." Levi explained.

"What?!!?" I blurted out, turning everyone's attention on me. "Me?! Second in command?! No way!!" I shouted.

"Is that a problem?" Levi asked, in his cold voice.

"N-No... It's just... Why me?!" I asked, stuttering my words.

"Well for one, you're the second strongest and the smartest out of the group, not to mention the eldest." Levi explained.

"That's the best excuse you have?" I wondered, placing a hand on my hip and tilting my head to the side.

"It's not an excuse, it's a well known fact. You do have a sense of leadership. You proved it with the capture of the female titan." Levi explained.

"And you were quite the leader when Reiner and Bertolt attacked. You were giving Eren support during their fight." Armin mentioned.

The way they are talking so high of me, makes me feel embarrassed.

I turned my head away and hid my blush.

"A-Alright then..." I murmured.

Levi went back to explaining what the operation would look like, and that we need to prepare ourselves for the inevitable.

That night, I was packing my suitcase with my belongings, mainly just my research. I held my father's journal in hand and I stared at the cover, with a blank expression on my face. I let out a small sigh.

That moment, there was a knock at the door. I turned to look in the direction.

"Who is it?" I asked. The door opened and revealed Levi. "Levi? What are you doing here?" I questioned, as I watched him close the door.

"Just checking to make sure you weren't doing something stupid." He replied, in a monotone voice. I puffed my cheeks and gave him scowl.

"Rude..." I mumbled, and I turned my body away. Levi sat down on the side of the bed and noticed the journal in my hand.

"What is it, brat?" Levi asked, crossing his arms. I looked at the journal and remained quiet for a moment.

"If this journal fell into the hands of the wrong people, who knows what may happen. This contains valuable information about the titans, and also the truth about them. I cannot lose this." I explained, as I placed it inside the suitcase.

"Is that so? This is just like the cellar in Shiganshina thing." Levi murmured, looking forward at the wall. I looked at him for a moment. "So, Doctor Yeager is your bio dad? Do you remember anything about him?" Levi questioned.

"Only small fragments, when I was a kid. The last time I saw him was when father and I went to visit him in Shiganshina, when Eren was just a kid himself. Grisha looked very different in comparison from when he was my father. He aged a lot. But not really anything." I explained.

"What happened in Shiganshina? Did he know you forgot about him?"

"Most likely, I mean, he didn't say anything to me about what happened to mother." I replied.

"So, basically, you were seen only as a stranger."

I nodded my head and closed the suitcase, sitting besides Levi.

"I know I've regained my memories, but there is still a lot I don't know..." I murmured, staring down at my lap.

"That's only natural." Levi replied.

"Huh?" I looked at him surprised.

"Whether or not you can turn into a titan, you are still human, you're no better than any of us regardless of your past. Don't feel as if you need to be responsible for humanity. You need to look after yourself for once." Levi explained, without looking at me.

"Y-You're right... I know I said that I was the heir to the Fritz family, but I have no intention of taking on that role. I think it was more like an exaggeration. The Reiss family is in charge of the walls anyway, Historia is the heir." I explained.

"Didn't you say Eren was the heir of the Yeager family?" Levi questioned.

"Huh? Ah, well I did say my brother, but Eren is only my half-brother." I replied, putting my hands together and slightly giggling.

"Eh? What the hell are you talking about, brat?" Levi was in the state of confusion and from the looks of things, he wasn't happy about it either.

"I have an older brother. He's the heir..." I replied.

"You do? Who?"

"His name is Zeke... I haven't seen him since the attack. I have a feeling he's dead or worse." I murmured.

"When will you tell Eren about all this?" Levi questioned. I lowered my gaze, feeling my mood changing.

"I... don't know if I can. As you know, he doesn't take big news lightly. He'll be in a state of denial and probably ger violent. Maybe one day when he matures, but not now, for his own protection anyway." I explained. The image of him confessing popped up in my head and I felt my face grow red.

I'm not blushing because he kissed me, I'm embarrassed because he kissed his sister, and he didn't even know. After that, and when I tell him, I know he will absolutely get mad about it.

I placed a hand over my forehead and closed my eyes.

"We don't have to leave until tomorrow morning, you should get some rest." Levi advised, pinching my cheek.

"What about you?" I asked, as I grabbed his wrist.

"Don't worry about me, I'll try to sleep." Levi replied. I took a deep breath and stood up.

"That is not the right attitude to have! You need all the rest you can get, and I will make sure you do. You're a Captain, we can't have you being tired, what if someone attacked us? You're more vulnerable that way!" I explained, pointing my finger at him.

"You're overreacting. How would you help anyway?" Levi asked, looking irritated with my tone. I gave him a big grin and placed both hands on my hips.

"Simple, I'll just have to cuddle with you!" I cheered. Levi went red in the face and turned away.

"B-Brat..." I heard him mumble.
