Levi's P.O.V
I was dragging the guy who happened to be the one in charge of this group. I dragged and dropped him in front of my squad.
"Captain, he's..."
"He's with the Interior Police. I've got a few questions for him. Let's move." I ordered.
Later we moved deep in the forest when it was night out. I began my interrogation of questioning the guy. He wasn't answering so the only way to make him talk was pain. Kinda reminded me of the first real interaction I had with Eren.
"Stop it..." The man muttered, through the pain. I kicked him once again. I crouched down to eye level to look at his face.
"Where are Eren and Christa?" I asked. The guy chuckled and lifted his head to look at me.
"Oh, you're so brave. That checkpoint back there was just recruits who could barely wipe their own ass. You think you're some sort of hero, beating them down?" He mocked.
I stood up straight again, trying to contain my anger.
"What an atrocious thing we've done." I kicked my shoe into his teeth, knocking a few out of his mouth. "But what's more atrocious is this mouth of yours. I recommend you start talking while you're still able to use it. Where are Eren and Christa?" I pulled my foot away and he gathered his composure. He had blood running down his mouth.
"It's no use! All that's left of you now is the run and hide inside these walls, covered in mud and shit! If you don't turn yourself in, every last Scout we captured will get the noose! Starting with the one most guilty of all, Erwin Smith!" He muttered. I leaned over, grabbing his arm and twisting it behind his back, causing it to crack. He let out a scream.
"Shut up. That's for not answering my question. Some Scouts' lives are more valuable than others. Only those dumb enough to acknowledge that join us. Tell me where Eren and Christa are at." I asked, releasing him and standing up straight.
"I-I don't know! I'm not allowed to know! Kenny Ackerman is a very cautious man!" He cried, with tears streaming down his face.
Hold on.
"Ackerman? I know Kenny... Is that his last name?" I asked.
"It is, but..."
"True, there's a lot of things he doesn't divulge... especially the important stuff. But you must have a rough idea. You best try to remember." I warned, grabbing his arm.
"Stop it!"
"You still have plenty of bones left to break." I warned, pulling his arm up. He looked at me with fear in his heart.
"Even if I knew anything... She'll kill me...! She'll kill anyone who knows!" He cried out.
"She? Who are you referring to?" I asked.
"(y/n) Yeager! She's very persistent of keeping our secrets, and she won't hesitate to kill any of us!
He cried.(y/n)?! Her? What does he mean? (y/n)'s dead, I saw her die. How can she still be alive? Unless, that was her that actually left the area where she was. But wait a second, what is she doing siding with the enemy? She won't hesitate to kill? She's referring to herself with her original last name, could it be that she's betrayed us?
I began twisting his arm again.
"You... You're insane!" He cried out.
"Maybe I am." I replied, bluntly.
Suddenly Sasha spoke out.
"Someone's coming from that way!" She called out, aiming her bow and arrow. I quickly reacted by shoving the guy down to the ground, pinning him down. I couldn't see well in the dark, but I could see the grass moving from the meadow. MP's. The others drew their blades and readied their guns, getting into position.
"More than one!" Sasha pointed out.
"Told you so, Captain. It's no use. Once way or another, the Scouts will soon come to an end!" He cried out.
I look towards the distance and saw that it was Hange and Moblit. They took their hoods off and safely walked over.
Hange handed me a scroll, reading the recent revolt in the capital. As soon as the others read it, they jumped up in joy and happiness now that we were all free. However, there was nothing to be excited about, especially if (y/n)'s dead, or... whatever she's doing.
Suddenly there was a gunshot and our captive had a bullet in the back of the head. Everyone shot up and looked to see a shadow in the trees. I saw the smoke from a pistol get blown out.
"Dear oh dear. You had one job, sir. And you couldn't even do it without getting yourself caught. So now I have to come along and clean up your mess." Spoke a feminine voice.
"That sounds like..." Armin murmured.
"(y/n)?" Hange spoke out. The figure stood up in the tree and we saw the face in the moonlight.
No doubt about it. It's (y/n). But what's she doing here? And why is she so different?
(y/n) jumped out of the tree and landed in front of everyone. Her clothing was different, and her hair was tied back into a ponytail. Her gear was similar to Kenny's. What the hell happened to her?
"(y/n)... What do you think you're doing?" I asked, stepping closer. She walked over to the fresh corpse and squatted down to check for his belongings.
"Doctor Zaki, we thought you were dead..." Jean murmured. (y/n) turned to look at us with a confused expression. She grabbed the corpse's belongings, shoving them in her pockets. She turned her body facing us.
"Zaki? Doctor? Last time I checked I wasn't my uncle." She murmured, scratching her head.
"(y/n), where have you been?" Hange asked. (y/n) narrowed her eyes towards her.
"How do you know my name?" (y/n) asked. I grabbed her wrist and pulled her forward. She quickly pulled out a dagger and went to go for my throat. I quickly grabbed her wrist to stop her.
Seeing her alive... I feel...
(y/n)...
(y/n) looked at me confusingly.
"Who the hell are you?"
(A/N) Apologies for the delay in updates. But I think it's only fair I tell you why updates will be slower. You see I've got a little bundle of joy on the way, and they aren't due until April. I hope you understand, I'll do my best to update, I don't want this story to go unfinished, so I'll try my best in the future
