Chapter 49

~flashback~

I was holding my mother's hand, as we were running through the streets through a crowd of people.

"Mama, where's big brother?!" I asked, feeing my fear taking over.

"He's with Uncle Sohma." She replied, as she gripped my hand tighter.

"You're hurting me." I murmured. Suddenly we were ambushed by a group of soldiers. I was immediately picked up by mother as she shielded me with her own body.

"Dina Yeager! You are under arrest and will be punished for your crimes, as you and your family will take the plunge." A soldier warned. I didn't understand what he meant by 'taking the plunge'

"No! Please spare my daughter!" Mother begged, as tears threatened to spill her eyes. A man roughly grabbed my arm and snatched me away from her.

"No!! Mama!" I cried out.

"No! (y/n)! Give her back!" She cried. She reached out for me, but she was tackled and pinned by two other men. Her arms were tied back with ropes. She was kicking and thrashing around. Until she was smacked in the back of the neck knocking her unconscious.

"MAMA!!!!"

Later, I was kneeling in front of the edge of a very high wall. The fear of the height made me tremble and instantly tear up. I looked to the sides and saw many other people in the same circumstance. I saw my nurse maid tied back, crying.

"N-Naomi!" I cried out. She looked towards me with tears in her eyes. She had long black hair with two different coloured eyes. One gold and the other green.

I saw her son sitting next to her also crying. He was one of the kids I played with. I looked to the left side of me and saw mother, seeming to have regained consciousness.

"Mama! Mama!" I cried out. She looked towards me.

"(y/n)!" She cried. Men were going along in a line with syringes, injecting something in the back of people's necks, then pushing them off the wall. They were slowly getting closer. Each person who fell made a horrific transformation into these large humanoid creatures.

"Mama! Help! Mama!" I cried out, as a man walked behind Naomi's son.

"N-No! Please don't hurt him!" Naomi cried out. He was injected with a syrim, then pushed off the cliff.

"GOYO!!!!!" Naomi cried out, as she watched her son transform into a titan. They went behind Naomi and did the same thing to her, pushing her off as she began screaming her lungs out.

"NAOMI!!" I cried. I noticed my hands were untied. I stood up and rushed over to my mother, who was still restrained and about to be injected with the syrim. "No!! Don't hurt mama!!" I cried out.

"Stupid brat! Get lost!!" He bellowed, kicking me away, causing me to fall.

"(Y/N)!!!" Mother cried out. She was injected and then pushed out. The only thing that could be heard were my own screams. I saw mother falling towards me, quickly grabbing me.

"Mama!!" I cried. But suddenly an explosion of lightening enveloped her body and I was blasted away, hitting the ground with a strong force. I should have died, no I wish I was dead. I sat up and saw the ground scattered in very few corpses, ones who couldn't make the transformation or those who didn't transform in time, resulting in being eaten by the titans. I sat up as my body throbbed in pain.
