A few days later, I was able to talk to Eren a bit more. He was placed under my supervision while Levi was away.

"So, (y/n), thanks for sticking up for me back there." Eren mentioned.

"It was my job. But I also did it because you're my friend. But... I can't forgive that bastard for disrespecting my father..." I murmured.

"I agree, what he said about him was too far. Especially, to accuse you of being a titan." Eren mentioned.

"Sadly, there's nothing I can do against them. I'm not in a high position." I pouted.

"But that still doesn't give them any right to insult you like they did." Eren defended. I smiled.

"Thank you Eren." I replied.

Levi walked into the room to check up on us.

"Captain Levi..." Eren murmured.

"Something the matter, sir?" I asked.

"You two ready your horses, we are heading out shortly." Levi responded.

"Heading out? To where exactly?" Eren asked.

"You'll find out when we get there." Levi replied, as he began to walk out.

"Wait a minute! We don't have horses." I pointed out. Levi sighed and let out an annoyed groan.

"Damn, both of you are a pain in the ass. Come on, come get your horses." Levi ordered, walking out. We both followed.

"Is the Captain always this insulting?" Eren whispered to me.

"Seems to be." I whispered back.

"Cut the chatter. I can hear you." Levi snapped.

We arrived at the stables and a lot of horses were lined up. We got to pick which ones we wanted. I picked a grey horse with a black mane, and its eyes were deep blue.

"You are just gorgeous." I mumbled, stroking its face. I straddled it and it didn't seem to mind me at all. Eren came over sitting on his horse. We met with Levi and a few others. This must be his squad.

A girl with orange hair walked over.

"You must be Doctor Zaki's daughter. I'm Petra!" She greeted.

"I'm (y/n). It's nice to meet you." I greeted. A guy with blonde hair tied up also walked over, along with the rest.

"You can call me Eld, you're (y/n)?" He greeted.

"Yes Sir." I responded.

"Drop the formality, Eld is fine." He gestured, with a grin.

"I'm Gunther, it's a pleasure to meet you." The other one greeted, shaking my hand. The other one looked too proud to even speak.

"That's Oulo, he's a bit obnoxious but you'll get used to him." Petra pointed out, giggling. I smiled to that.

"What was that? I don't care if you are the Doctor's daughter, I expect the upmost respect." Oulo spoke, trying to act cool.

"Oh please, all you do is pretend to be the Captain, it's stupid." Gunther mocked. They both glared at each other. I couldn't contain my laughter.

"I'm sorry for laughing. It's a pleasure to meet you all. I look forward to working with you." I greeted. Greetings went the same for Eren, except, they seemed a little more cautious around him. That's a natural response. Levi came over on his horse.

"Come on, let's go." He ordered.

"Yes sir!" We all responded.

It was only a matter of time until we arrived at what was the old HQ. Oulo was 'trying' to put Eren in his place, all that ended up doing was biting his own tongue. He then started flirting with Petra funny enough. It was quite amusing to watch actually.

We stopped our horses to set up. Eren was looking over at each of them. I approached him.

"Everything alright?" I asked.

"Huh? Oh, it's nothing. I was just wondering what these guys were like when facing titans head on." Eren answered.

"Is that it? Well from what I've heard, they are pretty strong, many solo titan kills. Their reputation really does proceed them." I explained.

"Aww how cute. The doctor recognizes our superior talents." Teased Gunther walking by. I felt my cheeks grow hot.

"Don't flatter yourself!" I blurted.

We walked to the entrance.

"Look at these weeds. This place has gone to hell." Gunther pointed out.

"It's been abandoned for years, can't imagine what the inside is like." Eld added. Levi walked behind them.

"In which case we have a problem don't we? Best grab a broom and get to work." Levi ordered.
