Eren's P.O.V
I slowly began to wake up, and to my surprise, I was chained up and gagged... again. But this time, I was in a weird and strange place. I couldn't move, I couldn't speak. I narrowed my eyes around and the whole place was crystalized.
I heard footsteps and looked forward to see Historia, dressed in robes. What the hell is she doing here? (y/n) stood beside her.
What's (y/n) doing here? Wait a second, she looks different. She's wearing the same gear as the people who attacked us. Don't tell me, she's sided with them!
"Eren! Are you awake? Just hang in there a while longer. Everything's fine." Historia explained.
Historia's all right then...
Third Person P.O.V
"Heh, with the expression on his face, it doesn't look like he believes you." (y/n) snickered, as she placed a hand on her hip.
Historia shrugged it off and ignored her.
"Eren, listen to me. My father has been an ally to all of humanity within the walls, for many years past and for many years to come. We're clearly mistaken about him. It's true that he's been a problem for the Scouts, and his people did kill Pastor Nick... But he didn't have any other choice. Everything he's done, he had to do for the sake of humanity." Historia explained.
"Historia. Let me explain the rest." Rod spoke as he approached Historia.
Eren looked around and had an expression of shock. As if the place was familiar.
Rod led Historia up the stairs to Eren led by hand. (y/n) followed behind as she kept her guard up.
"What's wrong? This is the first time you've come here. Though, it wouldn't be strange if you recognized it." Rod pointed out.
They stood behind Eren and Rod reached his hand out towards him. Eren flinched and wanted to avoid his touch. (y/n) took a few steps back and rested her back on the wall.
"F-Father explain to Eren first." Historia advised.
"Yes, I intend to. However, there's something I want to try first." Rod explained, grabbing Historia's hand. They both reached their hands out towards Eren. "If we do this, he may remember all on his own." And suddenly they placed their hands on Eren's back.
He suddenly froze and was like that for a few minutes.
Your P.O.V
Eren's frozen for some reason. What's going on with him? Seems familiar. He's probably remembering the thing he forgot. Kinda like me...
Suddenly I was felt tinges of a headache coming.
What's going on?
"And you... Ah, Levi.... Poor little Levi. You had an intimate relationship with the fake, didn't you? You could never love the real me."
Why am I suddenly thinking of that now?
Levi...
What is he to me? Tch, clearly nothing. But... My heart feels... strange... It's as if I've felt this before...
Damn you Levi Ackerman.
"Did you remember? Your father's sin..." Rod asked.
Both Eren and Historia were shocked in horror. Historia had her hand on her head and had a single tear run down her cheek.
"What's wrong, Historia?" Rod asked.
"Why? Why did I forget about that until now? I was never alone. That girl was always there for me. She gave me books... Taught me how to read and write... And was so kind to me... How could I forget about her?" Historia questioned, as her frustration grew.
"You met Frieda?" Rod wondered.
"Frieda?"
"If it was a young girl with long, black hair... It was most likely Frieda Reiss. She was your half-sister. She must have been worried and checked up on you occasionally. If she was erasing your memories, it was all done to protect you." Rod explained.
"Huh? Erasing my memories?"
"Yes. But touching your hand seems to have uncovered those memories again." Rod explained, looking towards Eren.
Tch. So even Historia was having her memory tampered with, and all for some useless bullshit.
"Um, father? Where is Frieda now? I'd like to see and thank her! If she wasn't there for me, I... I need to thank her for what she did for me back then." Historia explained.
Rod had a gloomy expression.
"Frieda is no longer in this world." Rod replied.
"Huh?"
Rod stepped closer to Historia and placed his hands on her shoulders, bringing her into an embrace.
"At one time, I had five children. But my wife, and all my children, Frieda included, were killed five years ago by his father. Grisha Yeager." Rod explained.
Eren and I both let out a gasp.
What?
"Huh? What did my old man do?" I asked, raising my voice. Rod glanced at me, pretty much indicating for me to shut up.
"Grisha was a person with the Power of the Titans. I do not know who the man was, but... His power was to steal the power the Reiss family possessed. This power Grisha sought to obtain... It was the Power of the Titans residing within Frieda. Frieda's titan was superior to all the titans. You could say her titan had unsurpassable power. However... She did not have the experience to properly wield it. Unable to unleash her full potential, she was eaten by Grisha and stole the power. But that's not all... He then attacked my entire family. His rampage sought to eradicate the Reiss family." Rod explained, with a monotone expression.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My family really is damned. He was a titan as well... He never spoke a word about it...
"He crushed 14-year-old Dirk and 12-year-old Abel. He trampled over my wife and 10-year-old Florian still clutched in her arms. Lastly, he took my eldest son, Ulklin, and squeezed the life out of him. Miraculously, I was the only one who made it away." Rod explained.
'Miraculously' He says... What a load of shit. His cowardly instant pushed him to run away and abandon his family.
"Unbelievable..." The only thing Historia could say.
I had no idea my real father was a murderer. He was so kind to me and my brother when we were children. His love for mother was irreplaceable. But clearly, he wasn't the man I thought of him to be. He lied to us, remarried and started up a new happy little family, and killed Historia's family for his selfish reasons. I don't know who to be mad at more, Sohma or father...
