(A/N) The biggest thing happened!!! Yesterday my story was gone!! I was so upset by this, but I'm really glad it's back. I was super worried it was gone for good. Did anyone else have this problem?

Flashback~

"(y/n)! (y/n)!" Called out a small voice. I turned to see my brother, Zeke.

"What is it, big brother?" I asked, as I was hugging a stuffed animal.

"Let's go play!" He cheered, grabbing onto my hand. I smiled and nodded my head.

"Okay!" I cheered. Zeke was holding a stuffed monkey that our mother made for him. She made me a stuffed cat since I always played with the stray ones.

We were out on the courtyard where other children were playing. Zeke was three years older than me, so he would always take care of me whenever our parents were away. Which was a lot sometimes. But we weren't by ourselves, our family was a Noble family, so we would have maids take care of us.

We went to the edge of a building and we sat down, looking over the sea.

"So pretty..." I murmured, as I was fixated on the flowing sea.

"Does the sea still scare you?" Zeke questioned.

"A little. It might eat me." I murmured, as I leaned closer to Zeke.

"Don't worry, (y/n). I'll protect you, no one will hurt you." Zeke stated, with a smile on his face. My face lit up and I returned his smile.

"Really?"

"Yeah! I promise! As your brother, I'll protect you forever and ever!" Zeke cheered, as he stood straight. I giggled and jumped in his arms.

"We should go home, we don't want mother and father to worry." Zeke advised, taking my hand. I nodded, and we began running home.

We barged through the door, nearly tripping over. Our mother was standing nearby and was startled by our sudden arrival.

"Zeke, (y/n)? Are you okay?" She asked, walking over. Zeke helped me to my feet and we both looked up with her, smiling.

"We're okay, mama!" I cheered.

"We just had a race!" Zeke cheered.

"I see, well, you are just in time for dinner. Your father will be home any minute." Mother explained, as she picked me up off the floor. She sat me down and Zeke ran and sat next to me.

"What's for dinner?" I wondered, placing a finger on my lips.

"Just a regular stew." Mother replied, as she set the table.

"Yuck!" Zeke and I both groaned in unison. Mother looked at us with an annoyed expression.

"Now, you two, don't be picky over what you get. Not everyone is as fortunate as you." Mother scowled.

"What's that mean?" I asked, as I was squeezing my plushie.

"It means, not everyone can eat three meals a day, some are lucky to even have one every few days." Mother explained, stroking my hair.

"How come we are lucky?" Zeke questioned.

"Because your father is a valuable asset to our government. When you're older, you'll understand more." Mother explained, stroking his head.

At that moment, our father walked through the door.

"Papa!!" I cheered, jumping off my chair and running into his arms.

"(y/n)! You're getting bigger each time I see you." He greeted, smiling and holding me up. I giggled and pointing to myself.

"Mama said that I'm growing up, and soon it'll be my birthday!" I cheered. Father let out a chuckle.

"That's right. Do you know how old you will be?"

I looked down and thought about it.

"Hmm... Four?" I wondered.

"That's right!"

I noticed a tall figure standing behind my father. I immediately recognized him and cheered as a greeting.

"Uncle Sohma!" I cheered. My current father, also known as my uncle, stood there with a gentle smile on his face.

"Hello (y/n), how are you today?" He asked, patting my head.

"I'm good!" I cheered.

"Sohma, would you care to join us for dinner?" Mother asked. Sohma blushed slightly and scratched his cheek.

"Oh, that sounds nice, t-thank you." He muttered. I noticed his embarrassment and giggled.

That night was quiet. Zeke and I were laying in bed watching the stars.

"Big brother." I murmured.

"Hm?"

"What do you think is out there?" I asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, I heard papa talk about an island with people on it. I wanna see it for myself." I murmured.

"I'm going there when I get older." Zeke mentioned. I turned to face him.

"How come?" I asked.

"Apparently people there stole something important, so I have to go get it back." Zeke replied.

"What was stolen?"

"I don't know."

"Can I go with you?" I asked. Zeke nodded and stroked my hair.

"You and I will both go, we'll go see what's out there. I promise to protect you." Zeke comforted me with a gentle smile. I returned it and we snuggled closer, eventually falling asleep.
