(A/N) WOAH!!! Nearly 400 votes!! Amazing!!! Thanks so much and I'm glad you are enjoying this. Oh and a heads up, I write in word, and I use 'Kaya' as the name for (y/n) and when ready to upload it I just switch. I tried writing as (y/n) but it became irritating so I just use my name. But... If you see Kaya somewhere through the chapter, It's because I overlooked it, so forgive me for that, hope you understand. I may be the author but I have my own special version of this :)
I expected a large bang, but, I heard nothing. I opened my eyes, only to see a deep cut in my hand. Why didn't it work?!
I stood up, covering my hand and looked around. No one was paying attention to me which was good. I quickly took advantage of the moment and ran off back to the cabin. My hand was stinging, and it wasn't showing any sign of healing.
"What's wrong with me? Why is this happening to me?" I questioned, as I stare at my bleeding hand. I clenched it and did my best not to get angry.
"Isn't it obvious? You are going insane."
This has nothing to do with insanity. I still must be sick from the fever...
I bandaged my hand up, but it was still slowly bleeding.
I can't tell anyone about this, they wouldn't understand. I don't want to say anything until I know what's wrong with me.
Shortly after, Eren was brought back and put into the other rooms to rest. I saw his face was beginning to regenerate.
I heard Hange made her way to Trost District to check up on Pastor Nick. He was currently under quarantine for his own protection. He's even under a false alias.
To figure out what's wrong with me, I need to do a blood test. But to know for sure, I'll need a sample of Eren's blood. He's unconscious so that'll be an advantage.
I went to my room and opened my suitcase. I grabbed a small syringe and walked out towards Eren's room. I slowly entered and saw his face grew back. I approached his bed and stroked his arm.
"I hope you'll be alright..." I whispered, as I straightened his arm up. I gently inserted the needle and extracted a small amount of blood. Once done, I put a small cloth to stop the bleeding. I covered the syringe and exited the room, quickly moving back to my own. I grabbed another clean syringe and rolled my sleeve up.
Needles bring back bad memories. They were the reason I couldn't remember the first half of my life. But I need to find out what's wrong with me.
I gently stuck the needle in my arm and extracted some blood.
Once I was finished, I pulled my sleeve down. I then grabbed two test tubes and put the blood in each. I grabbed a microscope and other tools. I know what normal cells look like, so if I look at Eren's first, his might be different.
I put a drop of Eren's blood on a piece of glass and put it under the scope. I had an empty book beside me to write down the results.
"Yes... definitely different. It's the same as Hange's test subjects, that proves he isn't human. Now for mine..." I put my blood under and I began to examine the blood.
It was different, in fact, it looked normal. I straightened myself and let out a sigh.
"Why is this happening? Don't tell me my shifter abilities are gone..." I murmured, as I clenched my fists. The pain from my hand was surging.
I decided to have another look and noticed that a few cells were like Eren's. Maybe it's not too late. But, I'm not sure what I can do to get it working again. Some of Eren's spinal fluid? No way, it's gross and it may not work. But... it's work a shot.
