Chapter 48

The next day we all got geared up and arrived at the top of the wall again. This time I wasn't feeling so good, for one my legs were sore, but I only have Levi to blame for that. Hange was still injured so she wouldn't be going anywhere. More titans were at the bottom of the wall. Erwin was explaining the formation, whilst I on the other hand had better plans.

"Take responsibility for all of this."

I face palmed and took a deep breath. Levi walked over and stood next to me.

"What's the matter? The voices?" Levi questioned.

"A little bit, but it's nothing to worry about." I replied, sitting down.

"You sure?"

I nodded.

"I just need to clear my head." I replied. Levi sat beside me and remained quiet. "I do remember you comforted me a lot when we were little. And your mother would scold you whenever you were being cheeky." I mentioned as a smile appeared on my face.

"Yeah, I remember that too. Also, I was wondering, where is your mother?" Levi asked. I gasped when he asked that question. Mother... Titans... Ugh... What's happening.

I froze for a moment.

"Well... I don't actually remember..." I murmured. Levi let out a sigh.

"I'm sorry for asking."

"No, it's alright. I am wondering the same thing." I answered, as I felt my body trembling. I closed my eyes and leaned my head forward, in deep thought.

~Flashback~

"Mama! Mama!" I called out, as I cheerfully ran over to Her. She was sitting by the window looking over the view. She looked down at my tiny figure and smiled gently.

"(y/n), your new dress looks beautiful. Why don't you do a twirl?" She insisted. I giggled and began spinning around in circles. Mother laughed to my actions.

"I love my dress, Mama, best birthday present!" I cheered, as I rested my head on her lap. She stroked my hair and smiled.

"I'm so glad. You are now four years old, you are growing up so fast." She complimented.

"Big brother said that I am turning into a woman." I mentioned.

"Yes, you are. A beautiful one in fact." She murmured. She lifted me up onto her lap and placed my head over her chest where I could hear her beating heart.

"I love you mama." I whispered, as I closed my eyes.

"I adore you, (y/n)." She whispered. Her blonde hair moved with the breeze, and her sky-blue eyes sparkled from the sunlight.

A few hours later, a man walked in with a worried expression. Mother let out a gasp.

"What is it Dear?" Mother asked.

"We have to go." He exclaimed.

"What's happened?"

"We were exposed and now we have countless guards coming this way." He replied. I opened my eyes and I saw my father standing there, panting and covered in sweat.

"Daddy?" I murmured. He had a worried expression on his face and he walked over patting my head.

"Grisha, will Zeke and (y/n) be safe?" Mother asked.

"I hope so, Dina."
