The next morning, Levi and I were summoned to see Historia in her office. We stood in front of the door and I did the honour and knocked. We heard footsteps approach the door and once it opened, we were greeted by an unfamiliar face. Most likely a servant of Historia's.

We both stepped in and saw that the room was filled with people. They all sat around a large table and at the head of the table sat Historia. Her eyes brightened as she saw us, she flashed a large smile.

"(y/n)!" She stood up and rushed over to me. She clasped my hands and we smiled at each other.

"It's so nice to see you, Queen Historia." I greeted, teasing her with her title. She blushed and lowered her head.

"No need for formalities. Just call me Historia. I'm glad to see you, (y/n), or... Mrs Ackerman." Historia bit me back by addressing me by that name.

Hearing it from someone else made me feel embarrassed. I blushed and covered my face with my hand.

"Just (y/n) is fine." I mumbled. Historia giggled but quickly stopped once she spotted Levi standing behind me. Her face looked scared as the memories of her little assault came to mind. She took a step back.

"G-Good morning, Captain." She greeted with a stutter. Levi's expression was... well you know, expressionless.

"You don't need to call me Captain when you're a higher rank than me, Queen Historia." Levi pointed out. She nodded her head and turned her gaze back to me again.

"I'm sorry to make you come all the way out here, but what I wanted to talk about couldn't be written through a letter. I wanted to discuss with you personally." Historia explained.

"I understand. What did you want to talk about?" I asked.

"Since Wall Rose is safe, I want to expand civilisation once again for the sake of those who were forced to live in the underground. And since I know you grew up underground, I was wondering if you could help me." Historia explained.

My eyes widened to her strange request.

"What would you have me do?" I questioned.

"Tend to the sick and help me convince them to come above ground. Your medical skills should do the trick." Historia suggested.

"Tend to the sick? I guess I can do that... But can I suggest something?" I spoke up. Historia tilted her head to the side.

"What is it?"

"I want you to spare a little money and land into building an orphanage for the children. There are plenty of children down there without a home or family and I feel they are the first who need help. I have done my best to help the sick during my days down there. If I'm going to put my medical skills to use, this will be it." I explained.

Historia's expression brightened and she then smiled.

"Absolutely! I want to help the children as well. I think that's a brilliant idea." Historia agreed. Suddenly one of the men spoke up.

"Excuse me, I oppose to the idea." He said.

Historia and I both looked at him in confusion.

"What's the problem?" I asked, as I turned my gaze at him into a small glare.

"As much as the idea sounds wonderful, we still need to think of the people above ground. It's bad enough that we are losing more and more farmland, we can't afford to spend more of our money on these peasants." He explained.

I clenched my fists to his last words.

"Those 'peasants' have more than every right to have a proper environment just like the rest of you fat, selfish nobles. While you sit in your chairs eating all the food and spending all the money you can, good people are starving to death and dying of illnesses that they can't afford treatment for. You have to make it very difficult for everyone else just to satisfy your glutton ass." Levi spoke up with spite in his voice.

I've never expected to hear that come out of his mouth. Historia and I were both shocked with his words.

Just as the man was about to speak again, Historia cut him off.

"I believe a discussion is required to settle what will happen. I don't want any controversy." Historia spoke up.

After the discussion, it was settled that there will be an orphanage built for the children underground. And the person who would convince the children to come up would be me. I was really hoping I wouldn't be returning underground, but for the sake of the children, I guess I have to.

I decided to get it over and done with and pop down in the afternoon, and of course Levi would be coming along.

Before we were going, we were in the guest room getting ourselves ready. I didn't wear my uniform because I know the kids are scared of soldiers but I wore my gear just in case of any drunks. I wasn't going to deal with that again.

"Hopefully those brats won't be an issue for us." Levi spoke up. I looked towards him and chuffed to his response.

"I won't be surprised if a few of them were reluctant. I've met plenty of kids who were violent. Remember I used to treat them." I explained.

"Yeah I remember you mentioning that. For how long exactly?"

"Hmm... I guess I started to help them out when I turned thirteen. So over ten years." I replied.

"I see."

"We should get going now. Now when we are down there, let me handle it." I requested.

"Why do you have to?" Levi questioned, looking confused.

"Because unlike you, I actually have a skill of talking to people without freaking them out." I teased, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Tch." Levi looked insulted which I chuckled in response. I walked over and leaned up, planting my lips on top of his. I quickly moved away before Levi had time to respond.

"Now, let's go, dear husband." I smiled. Levi's expression softened and he gave me a small but nice smile.
