In the end I didn't have much luck with picking out any toys. I ended up buying him a yoyo, a football and a slingshot. He'll have fun with that, right?

I headed home and it was already so late. When I arrived, Dimitri and Lilliana were already in bed.

"You didn't say you were going to be out for so long." Levi scolded, standing in front of me with his arms crossed.

"I'm sorry. It wasn't my intention." I answered.

"How did it go?" Levi asked.

"Uh, well I didn't find anything that interesting so I don't know how Dimitri will like them." I replied, shrugging my shoulders.

I let out a yawn and stretched my arms. I felt my hand being grabbed and Levi pulled me into the bedroom.

"Are you tired?" Levi asked, as he closed the door behind us.

"Yeah a bit. But before we go to bed, I want to give you something." I mentioned, as I reached into the bag I was holding.

"What is it?" Levi wondered.

I pulled out a black scarf and held it towards him.

"A scarf?" Levi took it and examined it.

"I know you usually prefer to wear your cravat but when you're not working and it's cold, you have to keep your neck warm." I explained.

"Thank you." Levi murmured.

Before I could say anything else, Levi stepped towards me and threw me onto the bed. He quickly climbed on top of me and planted his lips over mine.

We spent the next hour in lust.

I think when Levi worries about me, it makes him horny. I mean, if he's worried over nothing he gets horny and it's his way of telling himself I'm alive. I don't know why he can't just tell me he was worried.

I was laying on top of Levi stroking his chest with my finger.

"I just want to show (y/n) the ocean! I want to take her around the world! I want her illness to get better so I can take her to do fun things! I want to see her smile!"

"Ah. So you're the rogue warrior titan I've heard about."

I can't believe Zeke was alive after all this time... And to think that he actually became one of the nine's hosts... We fought and he almost killed me. He wouldn't have known it was me.

I wish I could see him and talk to him...

"Zeke..." I mumbled under my breath.

"Eh? What did you say?" Levi questioned, flicking my forehead.

"Ouch!" I sat up and stared at Levi's chest.

"What is it this time?" Levi asked, as he rubbed my arm.

"The Beast titan..." I murmured.

"Why are you talking about that? You not still thinking about your fight with him, are you?" Levi wondered.

"No... I just... I know who he is..." I murmured.

"Who?"

"My brother Zeke..."

I heard Levi let out a small gasp as his eyes filled with shock.

The next few days weren't too busy except we were planning Dimitri's birthday party.

A lot of people came. The Levi Squad came because Historia asked them to. Sasha came just for the food. Hange definitely wanted to tag along. I forced Ava to join us.

"Happy Birthday!" A bunch of the children cheered.

Dimitri was so happy with his party. He was off playing with the other kids and Sasha was secretly pinching all the snacks.

"Oi brat!" Levi called out.

"Stop calling me a brat!" Dimitri blurted.

Levi walked over to him and pulled something out of his pocket.

"I want to give you something. I was given this when I was your age and since you're now my step-son, I want you to have it." Levi unwrapped a dagger from a cloth and handed it to Dimitri.

"R-Really?" Dimitri stuttered, as he looked gobsmacked.

"Yeah. If push comes to shove, you can use it to protect Lilliana. I know how much she loves you." Levi mentioned.

"Wow... I never expected this kind of behaviour from Levi." Hange mentioned.

"Yeah me neither." I replied.

I suddenly had the urge to cough and I had a slight tinge of pain in my head.

"Are you alright?" Hange asked.

I nodded.

"Yeah I'm alright. I just choked on my own spit..." I muttered, as I covered my mouth.

I went to my office to avoid other people noticing my cough.

Why did my head start randomly hurting?

I then had another pain in the back of my neck. It felt like I've been stung by a wasp or something. I rubbed it with my hand but it wasn't going away.

"(y/n)?" I heard Ava's voice from outside the office.

"Come in." I answered.

Ava walked in and closed the door behind her.

"What's wrong?" Ava asked.

"Nothing." I replied.

"There's no point in trying to hide it. It's obvious you suck at lying." Ava teased.

"It's been mentioned to me before..." I muttered.

"What's wrong with your neck?" Ava asked.

"It hurts a little."

Ava walked over and pulled my hair away from my neck and from her expression it looked shocked.

"What is it?"

"Look in the mirror." Ava advised.

I turned to I saw the back of my neck was black. It was a small spot but it looked like it was slowly spreading.

"What is it?" I asked.

"It's a side effect. I've seen a lot of the other kids with it. Mostly the older ones. If they overused their power then it started to take a toll on their real bodies. They would start to look less human the more they transformed." Ava explained.

"How bad did it get?"

"To the point where this one guy had most of his back covered and he said it was constantly burning. A few others had different side effects where their hair changed colour. Some lost the ability to speak. Others got really aggressive." Ava explained.

I felt my heart beginning to race as my nerves were getting to me.

"I used to get pain in my neck a lot when I was younger..." I mentioned.

"Some people managed to fight off the infection and were totally okay."

"Infection?"

"I'm not sure exactly. More like a titan virus." Ava answered.

I felt sweat roll down my face.
