Chapter 51

Levi's P.O.V

Erwin ordered the squad to head for the forest, as just earlier a titan transformed in there, we don't know who but at least we knew where Eren was. Titans were hiding in the forest.

"Soldier's dispatch!! The enemy has assumed titan form!" Erwin ordered. Everyone split up to go around the forest. (y/n) however still kept moving forward.

"(y/n)! Did you hear? We need to move!" I called out. She ignored me and remained moving forward. A few titans went her way, some were even running. "(y/n)!" I called out. (y/n) began growling and she raised her arms, spreading her fingers, revealing them to be razor sharp. She jogged over and slashed the neck of the titan, decapitating it. I was shocked. All that in just one hit?! (y/n) ran for the other titans and took them down the same way. The blood on her hands evaporated and she took a few deep breaths. She moved into the forest, at a faster pace this time. We've already lost a few soldiers. Dammit...

After a while we heard the screech of a titan, and it wasn't too far up ahead. (y/n) began to run even faster now. She's determined to get Eren back. Why?

"What do you mean you need Eren? Do you love him or something?!"

"Don't be ridiculous. I love him, yes but it's not what you're thinking."

Not what I'm thinking? Just what is it then? What's (y/n) hiding from me? Before, she was denying her titan abilities, she didn't want to have anything to do with them, and now she's suddenly wanting to use them? Why did she transform? Why?

We heard some people up ahead and I identified them as the 104th cadet corps. I saw Armin and Mikasa and the others zipping through, chasing after a titan who was jumping from tree to tree.

"Armin! What's going on?" I asked. Armin looked up.

"Captain Levi! (y/n)!" Armin blurted.

"That titan just swallowed Krista! It's Ymir!" Mikasa called out. Who's Ymir? One of their fellow cadets I presume. She was a member of the scouts if I recall correctly. (y/n) sped up and was sprinting after her. After another explosion went off and another one transformed. We saw the armoured titan up ahead. Ymir jumped ahead and landed on his back. Berthold was on his shoulder and tied to his back was the unconscious Eren. They began running out of the forest into open land. 3DM Gear is useless.

"No! They're getting away with Eren!" Armin cried. (y/n) stopped running dead set at the end of the trees. It sounded like she was catching her breath.

"(y/n)! (y/n)! Why stop now?!" Jean called out. I glared at him. She's doubting herself, I know it. She can be brave, but she always has that fear inside of her that holds her back.

"(y/n) has a chance to stop them, why now?" Armin murmured. No, I don't want (y/n) to fight them, they might be too strong. They are more experienced with their titan abilities, (y/n)'s never transformed before till now. She might lose. I don't want her to get hurt. (y/n) turned her head to look at me. She had worry written in her eye. She reached her hand towards me and suddenly grabbed me.

"Ugh! (y/n)?! What are you doing?!" I asked, as I was restrained by her grip. She stared at me for a moment, then gently placing me down on one of the tree branches. "What do you think you're doing?!" I asked. She began to run off, screaming in the process. "(y/n)! Stop! Wait!" I yelled. She ran after the armoured titan.

A member of the Garrison regiment zipped over.

"Don't stop now! Get on horseback!" He ordered the cadets. Shit, I don't have a horse, I have no way of getting anywhere except my 3DM Gear which means squat on level ground. They all went on horseback and began to ride off. I noticed a stray horse walking around. Brilliant. I'll use this horse to catch up to (y/n).

I jumped down from the tree and landed on the horse. It panicked shrieked from my sudden appearance.

"Easy now, you're alright." I spoke as I gripped the reins. I began to ride forward. I noticed Erwin was just around the corner.

"Right! Let the titans chase you! All squads follow my lead!" He ordered, raising his sword in the air. Chase us!? Is he insane!? What the hell crawled up his ass and died?! Out of all the things Erwin has done, this has got to be the dumbest thing yet. I pulled the reins and rode over to Erwin.

"Why the hell are you getting the titans to chase us?!" I asked. He looked to surprised to see me.

"The armoured titan must be stopped before it takes Eren! Failure is not an option!" Erwin ordered, as we rode after the Armoured titan. (y/n) was still chasing after them.

"I need to catch up to (y/n)!" I called out.

"No, stay here Levi." Erwin ordered. I clenched my jaw.

"No way! I-"

"(y/n) knows what she's doing. She can stop them, and we can take advantage of her strength and retrieve Eren." Erwin explained.

"I still don't like the sound of this idea!" I called out.

"This is the best option." Erwin replied with a serious expression. I clicked my tongue and looked forward.

"Damn, for a titan she sure has a nice ass." Jean commented. I turned and glared at him.

"This is not the time to get horny! Focus on the job at hand otherwise get eaten!" I scolded. Jean went quiet. I'm not gonna have perverts like him stare at my (y/n) like that.

(y/n) began roaring as she grew closer to the enemy. Ymir was holding Krista in her hand and she was roaring at (y/n). (y/n) jumped up and swiped at Ymir.

"No! Stop! Don't hurt Ymir!!" Krista cried.

"Don't hurt her?! But she's siding with Reiner! That bitch doesn't deserve any mercy!" Jean cursed.

Suddenly, Reiner made a quick turn and aimed a punch toward (y/n).

"(y/n)!!!" I yelled.
