I arrived at the mess hall, and frankly enough I saw Hange sitting waiting for me.

"Ooh! Hello (y/n)! You finally arrived!" Hange waved over. I sped my walk towards her.

"Yes, sorry to keep you waiting." I apologized.

"Now, we promised to tell each other everything we know about the titans, but... I have something better to show you." Hange mentioned.

"Show me? What could that be?" I asked.

"Have you ever heard of a titan shifter?" She asked.

I let out a gasp of shock.

Titan shifter?! How does... How does Hange know of them?!

"N-No, what is it?" I asked, pretending to be oblivious.

"A human who can transform into a titan but still return to human form." Hange replied.

"I, never heard of anything like that before..."

"Well, we happen to have one here, in the courtroom cellars." Hange mentioned.

"Here?! In this city?!" I blurted out. She grinned and nodded.

"We just caught him a few days ago, after the titan attack in Trost District." Hange explained.

"I heard about that attack. But a titan shifter here?"

"Yes, I want to talk to him and experiment more about the titans, with him on our side, we can find out the truth!"

"That's great to hear! What are we waiting for then?" I asked. Hange's excitement died down after my question.

"Unfortunately, the Military Police and the higher ups are not happy with the fact a titan shifter exists. They are debating whether to have him executed or not, or worse, have the MP's dissect him." Hange explained.

Kill him? But... If they do, then we will never know the origins, the truth to the titans.

"So, it's a wager whether or not he lives or dies." I commented.

"Yes, Commander Erwin and I are trying to get custody over him. Erwin wants the truth as well. I'm sure Doctor Zaki would love to study him."

"When will you be able to win custody?" I asked.

"Hopefully tomorrow. I'm going down to the cellars to introduce myself. How about you accompany me?" Hange suggested.

"Of course. Anything that would help." I eagerly replied. Just as I answered, Erwin and Levi walked in.

"Hange, (y/n), I'm glad to see you." Erwin greeted. Hange stood up.

"Are you here about the titan shifter?" Hange asked.

"Yes, in fact, we were heading over there right now. We are going to pay a little visit." Erwin answered. Levi looked as emotionless as always.

"Sir, if I may ask, I would like to accompany you to meet this boy. Hange told me he was a titan shifter, and I remember hearing about them once." I requested.

"I was going to ask you to come anyway, with your knowledge, perhaps you can learn something from the boy." Erwin answered.

I smiled with relief.

"Thank you, sir."

"While we're on the subject, (y/n). How would you like your very own uniform?" Erwin asked.

I was surprised by his sudden suggestion.

"Me? A uniform?" I questioned.

"Well, you are working with us now, how about be recognised as one of us?"

"That... I would be honoured." I replied. I was especially happy about this.

Not long after, I was given a uniform that fit my right size.

"That suits you to a T, (y/n)!" Hange complimented.

"You think so? I don't look weird?" My wondered, checking myself out in the mirror.

"Course not. Now, let's meet with the Commander and then meet this titan shifter!" Hange blurted, linking arms with mine and pulling me back to the mess hall.

Erwin and Levi were still waiting for us. Erwin was the first to speak.

"(y/n), that uniform looks good on you." Erwin commented.

"Thank you, sir." I replied, feeling my cheeks burn up at bit. Levi remained silent.

"Anyway, shall we head off to meet this shifter?" Hange suggested.

"Of course. Let's go." Erwin answered.

After a short amount of time, we arrived at the courthouse in wall Sina, and we went down into the cellars. We were then greeted by two soldiers from the Garrison regiment.

"State your name and business." One spoke.

"My name is Erwin Smith, commander of the survey corps. I am here about the titan shifter." He greeted.

"Have you got permission from our commander?" Asked the other one.

"Yes, in fact, I'll have to notify him again. Hange, can you do that for me?" Erwin requested, looking towards Hange.

"Aww, but I wanna meet the titan boy." Hange pouted.

"Just hurry it up, four eyes." Levi scolded. She let out a depressed sigh and turned away.

"See you soon, Hange." I waved.

"Likewise, (y/n)." Hange responded and left.

"He's this way." A soldier said, leading us to the last cellar. I was standing beside Erwin and Levi.

"He's unconscious right now." One stated. I stepped forward to get a good look at his face. Once I saw, my body stiffened.

"(y/n)? Are you alright?" Erwin asked. My mouth was agape.

"Eren?!" I blurted.
