Chapter 147

The following day, I went off to pick up some groceries so Levi decided to stay behind with Lilliana.

When I returned, I opened the door to an empty office. I walked in and put the groceries on the desk and headed to the bedroom.

When I went in, I saw Lilliana asleep on Levi's chest. They had fallen asleep on the bed.

My heart warmed up.

I decided to cook something good for when Levi woke up.

I tied my hair back and headed down to the mess hall.

Levi's P.O.V

I woke up to the sound of Lilliana beginning to wake up.

I sat up with her in my arms and looked down at her sweet little face. I gently placed her over my shoulder and rubbed her back.

I looked around and realised (y/n) hadn't returned yet.

I stood up and went to look for her. I was walking down the hallway only to see Hange walking in my direction.

"Ooh! Hey Levi!" She greeted, waving.

"Tch."

"And hello to miss Lilliana! She's so adorable." Hange bickered.

"Have you seen (y/n)?" I asked.

"She's in the kitchens making you dinner. She told me you were asleep when she got back so she decided to make dinner. And from the state of your hair, it appears you had a good sleep." Hange teased.

I can't keep having (y/n) so far away just to do the simple things like making dinner. This isn't the best place for Lilliana to live.

Your P.O.V

I had just finished preparing dinner and I placed everything on a tray and gently picked it up and carefully began heading back to our room.

As I was walking down the hallway, I saw Levi with Lilliana with Hange as well.

"Hi (y/n)!" Hange greeted.

"Hey. What are you all doing here?" I asked, as I approached them.

"Levi told me he was trying to find you." Hange answered.

"I didn't think you returned so I went looking for you." Levi stated.

"I did come back. I saw that you were both asleep so I decided to make dinner and I was hoping to return before you woke up. Sorry, I didn't mean to make you worry." I explained.

Levi looked at me with worried eyes but quickly turned his gaze away as he didn't want Hange to noticed.

"What did you make?" Hange asked, looking at the tray of food.

"Um... An old recipe... I had it once when I was little and another time when I was sick and Levi made it for me." I answered.

Levi's eyes widened.

"I'm not sure if I got it right though, I probably messed it up somehow." I pouted.

"We won't know until we try it." Levi mentioned.

I nodded in response.

"Do you need a hand carrying it?" Hange asked.

"It's alright, I can do it. Thank you anyway."

We headed back to the room and Levi placed Lilliana down in bed and we both sat at the table.

Levi was the first to try the food but he remained expressionless which had me a tad worried.
