Deena paced back and forth by her front door. She had no idea what to do or where Olivia would take her.

Deena was mostly worried because Sam didn't have her medicine and in a few hours she needed her night medicine.

Deena turned around as soon as she heard someone at the front door but it was only Kate and Simon.

"Oh, it's only you guys," Deena sighed and sat on a chair by the front door.

"Okay, ouch. I know we don't hook up with you in hospital bathrooms but we are vital people in your life," Kate remarked as she sat on Deena's couch.

"She will come back, D. She always does. You guys have this magnet for each other." Simon said as he popped a skittle in his mouth.

"You don't get it. I hurt her. And now she's gone and I have no idea where she is and her medicine is here and she's not." Deena sighed as she leaned forward and buried her face in her hands.

"She knows her pills are here. We just have to wait. Honestly, she's coming back." Kate tried to reassure her.

The conversation with Sam kept replaying in Deena's head. How Sam said she only went through chemo for her.

That made Deena even more afraid now Sam was gone.

"Where to?" Olivia asked as Sam tried to calm down and wipe her tears away.

"I don't care. Anywhere. Even back to that shed by the pond." Sam was emotional and the conversation about Olivia with Deena at dinner replied in her mind.

"Sam.. I'm so sorry for that. That was fucked up and I get that. I can't explain why I did that but I regret it. Thank you for not telling anyone and getting me in trouble. I deserved to get punished for that. And I did, by losing you." Olivia genuinely felt bad for what she did and thought about it everyday.

"It's fine. We were kids. I shouldn't have said something. I don't even want to talk about it right now." Sam rubbed her temples, before looking out the window and refusing to look at Olivia.

"Right, do you want to tell me why you were crying? What did she do to you?"

"I didn't know that Caleb got released and the charges dropped until one of his friends tried to grope me. Just before you saw me. She knew about it since it happened and I had no idea. I asked her about it when I was in the hospital and cried over it." Sam sighed as she remembered the look on Deena's face when she said she only went through chemo for her.

"I'm sorry Sam. Do you want to go to your house? I could help you with homework since you are two months behind everyone."

"I haven't seen my mom in two months. I don't know what will happen."

"Holy shit, she didn't come to the hospital?"

"Once, to take a picture for the newspaper but no, she never called either."

"Wow. I knew she was fucked up but not like that. Do you want to see her?"

"Not really but that's really the only place I have to go to. I was staying with Deena but be with her right now."

"Alright. If she does something we will leave."

Olivia went first to knock on Sam's front door, Sam taking a step back from the front door, afraid what would happen.

Sam's mom opened the front door and was shocked to see Sam. "Sammy! Thank God you are home and away from them." She pulled Sam into a hug, the first one Sam got from her in over a year.

Sam followed them inside, it felt different to her to be here after spending so much time away and swearing not to come back.

Olivia and her did homework in Sam's room, Sam's mom sitting in there also as she bombarded them with questions and stories about what people said about Sam and her cancer and how brave Sam was.

As Sam's mom spoke and Sam was in her room, she felt like the girl she used to be when she lived with her mom.

She was surprised by how her mom greeted her and was treating her.

Sam noticed it was time for her to take night pills. Sam considered not taking them, but she was starting to feel better and she had a headache all day.

"Olivia could you do me a favor, could you go to Deena's and get my medicine?" Sam asked, she wasn't sure if she wanted to see Deena yet. She still felt betrayed by her.

"Yeah, you want me to go now?" Sam nodded.

Deena stood up the second the front doorbell rang. Her jaw dropped as she saw who it was, but mostly disappointed it wasn't Sam.

All Deena could think about since Olivia drove off with Sam, is everything she wanted to say to Sam.

"Where is she?" Deena asked the moment she realized who it was.

"I'm here for Sam's medicine. That's all." Olivia said, a smirk on her face knowing she was pissing Deena off.

"Are you serious? Where is she, Olivia?" Deena stepped closer to her, enraged at the audacity Olivia had.

"Either you give them to me or she doesn't take them. Up to you."

Deena wanted so badly to scream at her but she knew what would happen to Sam if she didn't take the medicine and that was the most important.

Deena went and got the medicine and came back to the front door.

"Seriously, where is she?" Deena asked, sadness in her eyes that replaced the rage. She was already missing Sam more than anything and desperately needed to know Sam was safe.

"Her house." Olivia said, completely knowing how much Sam's mom hated Deena and knew she would keep Deena away from Sam.

Deena's stomach twisted in knots knowing that Sam is with her mom. She handed the pills to Olivia.

"I get why you like her. She's a great kisser. Thanks for the pills, dear." Olivia had a smirk on her face as she made her way back to her car.

Deena stood at the door even after Olivia left. She felt confused and hurt ant angry all at once.
