Deena let go of Sam's hand. She was fuming and couldn't hold back with Sam's mom any longer.

"Get out. Get the fuck out!" Deena yelled as she started towards Sam's mom. But Sam's dad stopped Deena by grabbing both her shoulders.

"Deena, don't." Sam tried as she moved out of bed to Deena, but stopped on the edge of the bed when she started coughing again.

"Just, both of you, stay here." Sam's dad tone was stern and glared at Deena as he backed away.

"Joan, let's go." Sam's dad put an arm around Sam's mom and reluctantly left the room.

Deena stood in the doorway, watching as Sam's dad took them down the hallway.

"Deena," Sam spoke and held out her hand.

Deena waited until they were out the doors then sighed when she turned to Sam.

"I'm sorry I had to Sam. Are you okay?" Deena went back to Sam's side and sat on the bed.

"Yes, I'm fine. Besides the fact that she has a cold. That was hot," Sam smiled, trying to calm Deena down.

"Oh my God, Sam. I was only protecting you. She shouldn't be anywhere near you."

"It would've been better if my dad let you slap her. Not killing, only slapping. But still, my mean, tough  girlfriend yelling and protecting me was very hot. Thank you."

Deena rolled her eyes and laughed as Sam spoke. "Why does everyone think I'm so soft now? I'm tough still. Simon and Kate both said it today."

"Yes, you're still a total badass. Don't worry. Taylor is scared of you remember? There's one person at least. And I'm sure my mom is now and maybe my dad even."

Deena groaned as she remembered the scene of Taylor caressing Sam's face as she was asleep.

"When I walked in at Taylor's house, she was like petting your face and brushing back your hair when you were like half asleep. If I wasn't worried about taking you to the hospital, I would have done so much more to her."

"Seriously? I don't remember that. That's so weird." Sam leaned forward and kissed Deena, noticing her getting a little jealous as she spoke about it.

"But she didn't need to help me especially after I slapped her that hard in front of everyone. Not that she could do that but I'm just saying it was nice of her to help me so I didn't faint on the concrete."

Deena sighed, "yeah I guess. But I would've found you shortly after she did, I was about to come back if you didn't call soon."

"I'm sure you would've." Sam squeezed Deena's hand and brought it to her lips to kiss the back of it.

"I would have been there soon, she just beat me to it because it was her house." Deena defended.

"Yes, I know. You've saved me so many times, I know you would have." Sam moved closer to Deena in the bed.

"Deena, there's nothing to worry about. I'm spending the rest of my life with you. You always rescue me. I love you. No one else," Sam kissed Deena's cheek, trying to reassure her.

"I love you too. She's just so fucking annoying. How she keeps pissing me off by doing stuff and being weird with you. The next thing she does I'm going off on her. I'm glad she's scared of me. She should be. I'll make sure she stays scared of me." Deena huffed and shook her head.

"She's nothing compared to you, Deena. I don't make out or eat her out in hospital bathrooms. Only with you. Which, we are in a hospital so there's plenty of bathrooms we can christen." Sam nudged Deena as she smiled.

Deena laughed, letting the tension go from thinking about Taylor and how she has a crush on Sam and won't leave it alone.

"Sam, not right now. As much fun as that sounds. You're still weak and your parents are here. It would be too obvious."

"So later we can?" Sam had a smirk written across her face.

"Oh God not that face again. When you're stronger we can do whatever you want. But you have to get stronger first." Deena leaned towards Sam and kissed her.

Sam took the moment to grab Deena's face with both of her hands and pull her closer.

"Sam, we can't. They will be back with the test results any minute."Deena said as she pulled away and Sam let out a long sigh.

"She left. She won't be around you anymore for awhile, Sam. I should've kept going after you. I'm sorry to both of you." Sam's dad said when he got in the room.

Deena felt sorry for Sam's dad, he seemed disappointed in himself for letting her mom cause Sam to get upset and then end up in the hospital. And that Sam might have caught her mom's cold.

"Well hello again, Samantha, sorry to see you here again. I have your test results." The doctor that did Sam's gunshot surgery said once he walked in the room.

Sam couldn't help but bust out laughing so hard at the doctor when he spoke. While Sam's dad and Deena looked at her in astonishment, surprised that she was laughing in this moment.

"Right, sorry. Hello," Sam said when she saw Deena's face and stopped laughing.
