Sam's bottom lip started to shake as she tried to calm herself down from crying. It hurt her to see Deena sad and in pain from Sam not talking to her.

She had to remind herself that it was for Deena. All this pain they both felt was for Deena and Josh.

Deena watched Sam turn from her so she was looking at Sam's back. Sam had her hands covering her face. She knew that meant Sam was trying to calm down and not cry.

She leaned over her desk towards Sam, she was about to talk but stopped when she noticed the necklace Sam had on still that was for Deena. If Sam was really done with her then how could she keep wearing the necklace?

As Deena looked at the necklace, she realized then that Sam didn't choose this. That Sam had no say in whatever was happening with her. The necklace was a sign from Sam. Just like Sam's warnings of putting Deena at risk.

She knew Sam better than anyone else ever has and ever will. She was still her Sam, because she was still wearing her necklace.

Sam calmed down enough that she uncovered her face and looked back towards the front where the teacher was.

Deena wasn't going to take this moment for granted. She had the chance to finally talk to Sam without Olivia and Sam's mom around. "Sam," Deena whispered, "I know it's not you. I know something happened and you're being forced to break up with me and ignore me. I love you Sam, and I'm getting you out of this."

Sam was speechless after hearing Deena. She was right. But if she tried to get Sam out of this then it would destroy Deena's family.

"No," Sam turned her head slightly towards Deena.  She was still worried that someone would see them and it would get back to Olivia or Taylor. "You have to stay away. It's the only way you both will be okay." Sam hated how much had changed between them in the course of two days.

"What will make us not be okay? What did she do to you Sam?" Deena was completely ignoring the class and whatever the teacher was talking about. She finally got Sam to talk to her.

"I-I can't..Deena. You have to stay away. That's the only way," Sam felt Deena inch her body closer to Sam's. Her breath hitched in her throat when she could smell the familiar scent of Deena's shampoo.

"Sam, let me help you. I love you no matter what it is. We can fight it together like we have with everything else." Deena pushed the boundary even further and quietly moved her chair next to Sam's.

Sam closed her eyes when she felt Deena's knee touching hers as Deena moved her chair closer to her. Sam turned her head so that she was facing Deena. She slowly opened her eyes when she felt Deena's hot breath on her cheek.

Her mind was racing with all the warnings to stop and pull away, but Sam could only focus on Deenas lips and how close they were to her. Even if it was just a few days since she kissed Deena, it felt like years to Sam and she craved her lips more than she's ever had before in the middle of their math class.

Deena couldn't believe Sam was leaning into her and that Sam's gaze was stuck on her lips. The classroom was loud and no one was paying attention to them in the back row. Deena reached to Sam's necklace and run her thumb over the "D" on the necklace.

"You're still mine," Deena whispered and gently pulled on the necklace to tug Sam closer to her.

Both of them leaned in enough that there was barely an inch away from the others lips. They were about to kiss when there was a knock on the classroom door. They pulled back from each other.

Sam's body was consumed with anxiety the moment she saw her mom walk through the door. She watched her mom realize that her and Deena were sitting next to the other.

Deena stood the moment she saw Sam's mom. Deena clenched her fists and jaw. She knew now that Sam's mom was hurting Sam in some way and she couldn't handle being near Sam's mom.

"Samantha. Let's go." Sam's mom demanded as the class looked between Sam and her mom.

"Deena, don't," Sam whispered as she stood from her desk.

As Sam went to walk out the door, she looked back to Deena quickly and mouthed the words "I love you," to Deena when her mom wasn't looking.

Deena was in shock as she sat through the rest of the class. Everything that Sam had told her then Sam's mom showing up. Then Sam saying I love you to her. It all confused Deena but she knew for certain Sam was being manipulated. And she couldn't just watch Sam and let her suffer like this.
