Deena led Sam to the bathroom. Sam still had blood all over her stomach and thighs. Not to mention that her shirt was ruined with how much blood was now stained in it.

Deena was grateful that Sam wasn't wearing one of her sweaters, she would kill Sam if she got blood on it, especially the sweaters that were Sam's favorites.

She started the water for the tub, making sure to keep it warm but not too hot and not too cold. And she added the bubbles to the water as she knew Sam would want some.

Sam smiled as she watched Deena get the water ready and added the bubbles. She made sure to get more bandages and dressings from the hospital before they left, so she could get the ones on her wet.

She leaned down to Deena and put a hand on her face to get her to look at Sam.

"I love you, Deena Sarah Johnson." Sam whispered against Deena's lips before kissing her.

"I love you too, Samantha Hannah Fraser." Deena stood with a smile on her face and kissed Sam again.

Sam stepped out of her clothes, knowing that her shirt was ruined now. And held her hands out for Deena to help support her to get in the tub without falling and slipping.

Deena tried but she couldn't hide how pink and hot her cheeks got as Sam undressed in front of her. She looked at all the bandages on Sam and noticed that her bones weren't sticking out as much as they were from the hospital. Which was a good sign, that Sam was getting stronger and wasn't as sick.

"Ahhh," Sam said with a huge smile on her face as she sat down in the bath, bringing her knees up to her chest. It felt so warm all around her body and it immediately relaxed her.

Deena took care of Sam like she did the last time. She rolled up her sleeves and slowly washed Sam's back and handed the soap to Sam for her to wash off the blood on her stomach.

Sam closed her eyes but continued to have a wide smile on her lips as Deena washed and rinsed out Sam's hair.

Deena and Sam sat there for a moment, just looking at the other as Deena sat next to Sam outside of the tub.

Sam took her hand and grabbed a clump of bubbles and put it on top of Deena's head, causing both of them to laugh.

"Okay now help me up," Sam said, her cheeks were starting to get sore from how much they were smiling and laughing together.

Deena stood and held out both of her hands which Sam grabbed and held tightly as she pulled Deena into the tub with her, almost causing both of them to fall.

"Sam! Seriously?!" Deena looked down at her jeans which were now soaked.

Sam laughed and took Deena's sweater off for her. "It's my turn, just relax and listen to your future wife."

Deena rolled her eyes as she saw how much water was splashed outside of the tub. But like always, Deena gave into Sam, not being able to hide the smile on her face.

Sam helped Deena out of her clothes, her jeans were more difficult to get off with how soaked they were.

She held Deena's face with both of her hands, "Deena, you are so incredibly beautiful." Sam pulled Deena closer and kissed her, taking a moment longer to relish in this moment with her.

Sam guided Deena to turn and sit down, so they were both facing to same way and Sam washed Deena's back just like Deena washed Sam's. And Sam washed and rinsed out Deena's hair.

Deena leaned back into Sam, laying her head on her shoulder, and Sam wrapped her arms around Deena as she did.

Deena felt so beautiful and warm as Sam washed her and took care of her. She felt the most relaxed she felt in months.

It was worth it, to the both of them as they sat in the tub and tangled up in each other. It was worth all the pain and fights and cancer and awful parents and the tragedies that always happened in Shadyside. All of it was worth it to have these moments together. As long as they were next to each other, the world made sense to them and they kept fighting through it all.
