The deadline for NYU was tomorrow and Sam couldn't sleep last night.
Deena tried to calm her down and tried to convince Sam to go to another college they both got accepted to. But she understood why Sam was upset about it.
It's been her dream for years and she was so close to making it happen.
Sam decided to skip school that day. She didn't think it would matter anyway since she didn't get in to NYU. Deena wouldn't let her skip alone so she was with Sam.
Sam knew that her mom went into work early in the morning, so Deena and her went to her house and waited on the porch for the mail to come.
Sam sat in one of the chairs on the porch, her leg shaking up and down quickly.
Deena watched Sam. She was hopeful that the letter would come. But she was okay with going to another college.
As they waited, Deena spoke about how far they have come. As friends and as girlfriends.
"There's not been a day since you kissed me where I've been in awe of being your girlfriend. Of you kissing me. You were right, the world shook the moment we kissed." Deena leaned over to Sam and interlocked their fingers when she took Sam's hand.
Sam brought their hands to her lips, kissing the back of Deena's hand.
"I would go through all that again. All the bad and pain, because it's worth it to be sitting here holding your hand. And planning the next step of our lives together." Sam spoke, her leg relaxing and not jumping up and down anymore.
Deena smiled widely as Sam spoke. Her words made Deena fall in love with Sam even more. As soon as Sam stopped talking, she kissed her. Using her other hand to hold the side of Sam's face.
Sam's free hand went to Deena's hip, pulling her closer to Sam. She deepened the kiss, holding on to Deena's hips tighter.
"I have an idea," Sam said with a smirk as she pulled back.
Sam stood and went to a flower vase on a table and took the key underneath it.
Sam bit her lip as she looked at Deena and held her hand out, unlocking the front door.
Deena smiled as she shook her head. "See you're not as innocent as everyone thinks." She took Sam's hand and followed her into the house.
Sam smirked. "Come on, I'm pretty sure there's still a bed in the guest room."
"Sam, you never know when she could come home. She might murder me or you or both of us."
Sam tugged Deena's hand as she led them to the guest room, she smiled as she opened the door and saw the bed there.
"Sammmm," Deena drew our Sam's name as she saw the smirk on Sam's face.
"It would be worth it, I promise." Sam closed and locked the door behind them.
Deena loved Sam's idea but she was anxious that Sam's mom could come home any minute.
Sam took both of Deena's hands and lead her to sit down on the edge of the bed.
Sam then straddled her on Deena's lap like she has done so many times. A leg on both sides of Deena.
"This is wrong, your mom could be here any minute." Deena put her hands on Sam's waist, wrapping her fingers around Sam's hips.
"It doesn't feel wrong," Sam spoke as she brought her hands to Deena's face, caressing her cheeks then moving her fingers to Deena's hair and running her hands through them.
"Tell me to stop, and I shall." Sam locked her eyes with Deena's as she looked down at her.
The tension felt heavy between them the moment Sam sat on Deena's lap. It was intense and they felt it many times together.
And neither of them could get enough of the other. They both craved and longed for the other, no matter how many times they kissed or touched each other.

They freeze when they heard the front door close.
They look at each other with wide eyes and hurry to get dressed.
"What do we do? Go out there? How do we leave?" Deena whispers, she's frantic as she tries to figure out what to do.
Sam looks around the room, and goes straight for the window, they were on the first floor so it would be safe for them. She pushes the window screen out of the way.
"Come on, this way," Sam tells Deena and she immediately follows her.
Once they climb out, Deena slowly and quietly closes the window.
Sam holds out her hand and Deena takes it, she starts to laugh once she saw how worried Deena looked behind her.
Sam runs around the corner and knocks into a trash can as all the contents fall out and Sam almost falls on top of it, but Deena's arms are there right away to catch Sam.
They both lean down to pick the trash up.
"Sam.." Deena lifts an envelope from the ground that was in the trash, two pieces of it like it was torn apart.
She shows Sam, and it is addressed to her from NYU.
