Deena waited on the front porch. She was too nervous about Sam and what was happening.
She waited as long as she could but she couldn't take it any longer and needed to know if Sam was okay. She wasn't planning to take her home or drag her out like last time. She just wanted to see Sam and make sure she was okay.
Deena grabbed her car keys and got in her car. She knew their classmate Josh so she knew where to find the party and find Sam.
Sam walked past the crowd outside, she could hear Sophie calling for her but she ignored her.
She took a big swing of the bottle as she walked on the sidewalk. She wasn't certain where to go, she knew her dads house was near by so she decided to try to get there first.
As she walked, she kept drinking, almost half the bottle.
She kept replaying what happened in the bathroom again. She couldn't believe Taylor was just using her to see how it was to kiss girls.
She felt used. Like that was the reason Taylor was annoying her all day to go to this party. To get Sam tipsy enough she could experiment with her.
She regretted even considering going to the party. She forgot how awful they could be and she regretted not having Deena there. She knew she was always safe and okay when Deena was with her.
She was worried how Deena would handle what happened with her and Taylor.
She knew she would have to tell her, but she was scared that Deena would get angry with her. And Sam hated when Deena was upset at all especially with her.
Sam took another long drink from the bottle and nearly fell as she kept walking down the sidewalk.
She missed Deena so badly already. It's only been a couple hours.
She knew now that she wasn't going to a party without Deena.
Deena knew the area that Josh lived so she was sure to find his house. She had the same feeling in her stomach the moment she got to homecoming after Sam called her.
She stopped at a stop sign and waited for a person to cross the road. Her jaw dropped to see it was Sam.
Deena immediately got out of the car. "Sam?" She was shocked to find Sam just walking and then she saw the bottle in her hand and she was instantly worried.
Sam stopped and turned when she heard Deena's voice. For a moment she thought it was a dream. She was just thinking about her and then there she was.
"Shit," Sam said as she remembered the bottle of vodka in her hand. She looked around to where she could hide it but there was no where to hide it and she knew Deena was going to see it no matter what.
"Sam what are you doing? Why arent you at the party?" Deena got closer and saw Sam's face better.
"Sam what happened?! Did you drink all that?"
Sam didn't know where to start. She knew that she had a lot to explain and that she was going to upset and disappoint Deena.
Sam was about to say something when the car behind Deena's car honked.
"Come on," Deena said and took Sam's hand and led her to the passengers side. She also took the bottle out of Sam's hand and saw that it was vodka and dumped out the rest of the liquid and placed it down on the sidewalk so she wouldn't get in trouble with it in her car.
Deena got in and made sure Sam had her seat belt on and then drove toward her house.
"Sam what's going on?" Deena looked over at Sam and saw how upset she looked, and it scared her.
"I don't even know where to start....Y-You're going to hate me," Sam couldn't look at Deena so she kept her eyes on her shoes.
"Sam, there's nothing that you can do to make me hate you. I love you always. But you're scaring me. What happened?"
Sam sighed, she was slowly feeling the effects of the vodka. "It was fine until Taylor was going to puke and then she dragged me into the bathroom with her. Then she suddenly kissed me and I pushed her away the second it happened. And then I ran out of the house. I'm so sorry Deena. I didn't know she was going to do that. She said she just wanted to see how it felt."
Sam was upset with herself for even being in the situation. The alcohol was setting in and made Sam even more emotional about it.
She leaned covered her her face with her hands as she started to cry. "Please don't hate me. I'm so sorry. I'll never go to a party again or see her again. Please don't hate me."
Deena was so stunned at what happened to Sam. She was furious at Taylor for treating Sam like that. But she wasn't upset with Sam at all. She was worried about her. She was so upset and thought Deena would be mad at her.
"Sam, it's okay. It's okay. You're okay now. I'm here." She put a hand on Sam's back. "I don't hate you. I'm not mad at you. I'm pissed at Taylor. She should've never done that. I'm not upset with you."
Deena pulled up in her drive way and turned the car off.
Deena was beyond furious at Taylor. She wasn't going to let Taylor get away with treating Sam that way.
Deena went around to the passengers side and got in to hold Sam as she cried. "I love you Sam." Deena clenched her jaw as she thought about Taylor. "She's not getting away with this."
