"Good morning, class. Are we sitting comfortably?" the Doctor smiled to the class as he and Echo made themselves comfortable at the front of the room. Once she had seated herself, he began the lesson of the day. "So, physics. Physics, eh? Physics. Physics. Physics! Physics. Physics, physics, physics, physics, physics, physics, physics. I hope one of you is getting this down."

"I'm not." Echo grumbled quietly, only the Doctor hearing her to which made him smile.

"Okay, let's see what you know. Two identical strips of nylon are charged with static electricity and hung from a string so they can swing freely. What would happen if they were brought near each other?" A young boy with spectacles immediately shot his hand into the air. "Yes, er, what's your name?"

"Milo."

"Milo! Off you go." he encouraged.

Then waited only a few seconds before the child answered. "They'd repel each other because they have the same charge."

"Correctamundo!" he said pleased, then grimaced when he heard Echo snort in amusement. "A word I have never used before and hopefully never will again. Question two. I coil up a thin piece of microwire and place it in a glass of water. Then I turn on the electricity and measure to see if the water's temperature is affected. My question is this. How do I measure the electrical power going into the coil?" Just one hand shot up as everyone else looked zombified with boredom. "Someone else... No? Okay, Milo, go for it."

"Measure the current and PDs in an ammeter and a voltmeter." he answered without delay.

"Two to Milo. Right then, Milo, tell me this. True or false. The greater the dampening of the system, the quicker it loses energy to its surroundings." Echo leaned forward a bit as she saw what the Doctor was now doing.

"False."

"What is non-coding DNA?" his eyes grew more serious as he studied the child in front of him.

"DNA that doesn't code for a protein."

"Sixty five thousand and twenty nine hundred and eighty three times five?" he shot back without hesitation, already knowing the answer.

"Three hundred and twenty nine thousand nine hundred and fifteen." Milo answered without even thinking, making Echo furrow her brow with concern.

"How do you travel faster than light?"

"By opening a quantum tunnel with an FTL factor of thirty six point seven recurring." At this, the Doctor's jaw dropped in disbelief. This was most certainly not normal.

Around lunch time did Echo and the Doctor end up in the cafeteria. He was getting a tray of food for them, seeing as she wasn't that hungry. When they reached the end of the cue, Rose slopped mash into the Doctor's tray. They then walked away with smug grins at her displeasing situation. Not long after, as they were seated at their own table, the blonde came over to wipe the table down. "Two days." she grumbled once she was in ear shot.

"Sorry, could you just? There's a bit of gravy. No, no, just, just there." the Doctor playfully said as Echo silenced her chuckle.

"Two days, we've been here." she said again, hating her position more and more the longer they stayed there.

"Blame your boy toy. He's the one that called." Echo said nonchalantly, then looked at her seriously. "But he was correct. Boy in our class this morning has knowledge way beyond the norm." she added, then grimaced at the mere smell of the chip she was holding.

"You eating those chips?" Rose asked as she took one and began eating with a smile, sitting down beside them.

"You can have 'em. If they taste how they smell, I'd rather not." Echo said with disgust as she put the chip back on the tray.
