Echo and her Doctor had been drifting aimlessly through space for days on end, never actually visiting anywhere due to lack of motivation. That was until they heard her phone begin to ring. With a glare as personal as murder for the device's interruption, she begrudgingly answered. "Speak quickly." she immediately commanded without looking at who it was.

"Ooh, so serious." she heard at the time that was needed most.

"Sybil? Haha! How the hell are you, man?" she asked with a tension relieving laugh. Just hearing from her gave her what she needed.

"I've been great. Went to a 'Tool' concert, found the leader of that one Italian mafia. The hospital stay's been a bitch and a half, though." she said with a smile on her face. The anticipated reaction was just the same as was expected.

"Seriously? In the hospital? Again? What have I taught you? You know how to stitch and relocate. What'd you do? Jump off a roof again?" Just hearing such a response without context gave the Doctor a large smile and furrowed brow of confusion. He gave her a questioning look as she continued her conversation.

Sybil laughed with great amusement as she remembered the old adventure when they were younger. "Not quite. Got shot in the arm and was taken to the hospital without my being aware of it. Should be out of here before too long." she reassured. "Come visit me. I'm bored out of my mind."

Echo nodded as she grabbed a pen to write down her location on the back of her hand. "Don't you worry that big brain of yours. See you in a bit." She then hung up and got to work on the console. "You know that friend of mine I mentioned that one time? Well, multiple times. We're going for a visit." she spoke quickly, wanting to get there a fast as she could get the Tardis to go.

Once they had landed, Echo swiftly led the way towards the building. She was excited for her love to finally meet the one human she could never hide from; and never wanted to, honestly. She had a one-track mind. That was until they noticed plasma coils positioned outside the hospital. "We can look into them after we see your friend." he reassured the moment he saw her conflicted expression. This was going to be a fantastic change of pace, he could just feel it.

"Maybe she can help, too." she suggested with a smile, then linked arms with him and went inside.

As they walked into the correct room, they found a beautiful red-head in a 'Tool' t-shirt and plaid bottoms. "Oooh, now this is a surprise." Sybil said with a massive grin when she saw who had walked into her room. "Please tell me Mr. McHottie is my 'get well' present." Her eyes focused on the uncertain Time Lord only as she eyed him up.

"You think far too highly of me to expect a gift like that." Echo said with a chuckle, then pulled her into a loving embrace. "So, what's up? Why call me in without a drink to accompany you?" she wondered as they took a seat; Sybil on her bed and Echo on the only chair. The Doctor stood behind his love, far more comfortable while standing and leaning against the window.

Sybil gave her a knowing look. "And you think far too lowly of me to think otherwise." She then pulled into view from beneath her pillow a bottle of bourbon, as well as grabbed two plastic cups from the nearby table. "I didn't know we'd have company, so you two can share." Once the drinks had been poured and distributed, they then settled in. "You've probably figured out this isn't just a social get together. When I was admitted, I noticed some strange happenings going on here." she said.

"Those plasma coils outside? We noticed those, too." Echo informed as she took a sip.

When she handed the drink to her Doctor, he cringed at the taste and gave it back. "Smooth." he practically choked out, making both women laugh joyfully for a moment.
