at every subtle noise they heard going back to their dorm, the boys jumped and looked around in case they were to hear a honk of a clown horn.
safe to say, neither of them liked clowns after that. no fucking way.
upon entering the two of them sighed and practically melted against the floor.
"safe zone." jisung hummed, making sure to lock the door behind them. he triple checked to make sure it clicked.
"never in my life would i ever expect to be chased by a damn clown." minho took off his hoodie and went straight to the bathroom to shower.
"hey! i wanna shower first." jisung made sure to catch on, pulling on the back of minho's shirt to prevent him from fully walking inside.
"i'm showering first." minho shook his hand off, turning the bathroom light on.
"no, we play rock paper scissors for it." jisung simply turned the older around and held a fist out.
minho groaned in annoyance before bringing his hand out as well. "fine. two outta three though." he said, eyes displaying his lack of interest for this decision.
"rock, paper, scissors, shoot!" on the same time, the two of them drew their choice of weapon.
jisung picked scissors while minho picked rock.
the younger pouted but took the loss, getting his hand into starting position again.
this time, the both of them drew paper.
"this could be it." minho said, going back and trying to think what he should pick next. if he won again then he could take his blissful shower.
during the next round, jisung won. ironically.
now that this was the deciding match, it was far more stress inducing.
"rock, paper, scissors, shoot!" they said at the same time, and to minho's horror, he picked paper while jisung picked scissors.
the blonde threw his hands up in the air with a cheer. "YES!!" he squealed, jumping up and down before swerving and picking up a change of clothes immediately.
"thanks minho~" he sang (cockily) skipping back into the bathroom and blowing the older a kiss before going inside and locking the door.
minho stood there. he was exhausted.

"you guys were WHAT?" chan sat in horror, in much disbelief at the entire story told to him.
"chased by a clown." jisung stuffed his face with another piece of bacon.
chan invited jisung out to eat breakfast, and for some reason minho was there too.
maybe chan should've been more specific in his invitation, because he only expected to see the blonde today.
not that he minded that minho was there (in fact he loved company) but he couldn't help but wonder how that happened.
"you guys do realize that- actually never mind." chan sighed down his sentence.
"wait noo! what is it? you know i hate when you do that." jisung pouted, jabbing chan's hand with his pointer to urge him on.
chan shook his head and went on his phone to click on something. upon turning the screen for the two of them to see, jisung's eyes went wide.
there was a news article about yesterday. the heading was "clown chasing people around with knives on halloween night."
at the same time, jisung and minho both froze mid-bite and turned to look at each other.
"huh." jisung looked away in thought. "then maybe i did see something shiny."
"you saw something shiny and didn't fucking tell me?" minho grabbed jisung by the sleeve.
the younger simply flung the threatening grip off of him, shrugging before crunching on another piece of bacon. "we survived though."
"you're about to die right now." minho scoffed, rolling his eyes before taking a sip of coffee.
his eyes were then directed at chan, who was just sitting there throughout that whole exchange. "sorry for invading by the way. i woke up with a headache and wanted coffee but we had none at the dorm."
chan smiled and waved his hand. "no, no it's alright." he insured. "i'm just surprised you were willing to come when jisung's here." he admitted.
the ravenette exchanged a look to the side of him, eyeing jisung who was on his phone texting felix.
his look was less than friendly, but still, he shrugged. "coffee is more important than hatred." he said, taking another sip.
chan couldn't help but laugh a bit. "you two are insane." he smiled after laughing a little. "although you both hate each other you two are always in weird scenarios together."
"so true." jisung agreed, not looking up from his phone.
"unfortunately." minho also agreed, stealing one of jisung's pieces of bacon.
"but.. you two are alright though, right? i mean, halloween is dangerous on the regular. but what are the odds that you two ran into trouble?" chan looked over at jisung, as if checking his face for bruises.
the blonde only nodded his head. "we're alright." he confirmed. "i run really well in moments of panic."
"you fell like ten times."
"not important."
"very important."
they continued to bicker and jab at each other, but it was normalcy. chan didn't mind listening and being there as they ate their breakfast.
"felix said he was going to try and find more events like that we can volunteer in together as a group. it sounds fun." chan made sure to mention.
jisung nodded. "it was really fun actually. i wouldn't mind." he smiled.
"hm." minho hummed beside him, making the blonde drop his smile and glare over.
"what?" jisung deadpanned.
"that's rich considering you were with me. means you actually like me then, huh?" he grinned, which earned him a punch in the arm.
"you wish!" jisung yelled, rolling his eyes and grumbling. "ugh, actually chan, maybe not." he said, making the australian giggle.
"don't put up a front. just say you had a good time with me and move on." minho took another long sip from his coffee.
jisung raised an eyebrow, crossing his arms. "is there something you're trying to say?" he redirected. "are you saying you had a good time with me?"
minho turned to him, leaning in with a scoff. "in your dreams." he emphasized each syllable before moving back and taking money out of his pocket.
he placed the cash down on the table and gave a wave to chan. "thanks for letting me join." he said, getting up and stretching out his arms.
he yawned before leaving, his coffee now completely finished.
"UGH that boy i swear to god- he's so frustrating!!" jisung made strangling motions in his direction. "one day i'll make him shut up."
chan couldn't help himself. he thought it was too funny. "you two fight like a married couple though." he whispered, earning a very offended sound from the younger.
"TAKE THAT BACK." he demanded, directing his butter knife in his direction.
it couldn't be helped.
