the two of them ate after playing with the cats for about another hour.
they ate at the cafe, jisung getting a chocolate donut with a little cat face drawn on it, and minho got a parfait with paw prints on the top layer.
they shared the treats with each other, offering tastes to one another as the spoke about nothing specific but about nearly everything.
being like this didn't really feel so far off from what they usually did.
the entire time jisung couldn't help but feel his lips spark gently from even just the soft kiss they shared.
two times now. two times they kissed, but who's counting?
jisung smiled as minho told him a story.
~~~
by the time they were beginning to leave and walk home, jisung felt his phone ring in his pocket.
he blinked and let go of minho's hand which had the older looking over, seeing jisung take his phone out.
"oh, hyunjin is calling." he reads the screen, seeing hyunjin face pop up from his icon. he smiled and clicked answer, putting the call on speaker.
"hey hyun." he says, turning to look at minho who was also looking at the phone.
"hi." minho mimicked, and the two of them could only hear hyunjin's excited gasp.
"oh good! you two are together! wasn't sure considering how quickly yesterday and this morning changed." he beamed, and jisung cringed slightly at the remembrance of last night.
"yeah, we're together." jisung speaks as they start walking again.
"i'm glad you two are friends again because i can ask both of you now."
before hyunjin could continue jisung felt an odd twinge at the word 'friends' but tried to ignore it completely.
he felt minho's eyes on him so he cleared his throat and brought the phone up a little closer to himself.
"ask us what?" he urged, pressing the volume button until the sound was all the way high.
"would you guys like to come over? spend the night and watch some movies?"
jisung smiled at the suggestion. "oh! that sounds nice!"
"right!! i thought it would be nice to just relax and do something fun since everyone else is busy."
jisung looked over at minho again to see him nod his head in agreement with a small smile. why not? it would be better than being home and doing nothing.
wait- would it? having alone time together after.. everything. would that be ideal? jisung only has a second to question it in the back of his mind before he's speaking into the phone speaker.
"okay! we'll be over after we get our stuff." he says, causing hyunjin to cheer on the other end.
"yay!! this is to make up for not appreciating my existence this morning in class by the way." he states with mock sourness dripping from his voice.
jisung makes a noise of dissatisfaction. "we know you exist!" he corrects, earning a playful scoff from the other end.
"you only know each other exist." and with that dramatic remark, he ends the call.
the beeping tone from the call being ended echoes a little, and jisung hesitantly looks over at minho's face because he knows his own face must be a little red.
he wanted to know what minho thought of that accusation.
but all he got was a curt shrug of his shoulders and a slight snicker. "i mean, he's not wrong." he admits shamelessly as he continues walking.
