jisung wished he never went to sleep.
despite it actually being easy to fall asleep after talking to minho, his brain decided it would be fun to fuck with him immensely in his dreams.
being stuck in his childhood house with every single door and window locked and out of reach was taunting.
the atmosphere felt off. everything was tinted with red and no matter how loud he yelled for someone, no body was there.
the only thing he could see was a jarring shape of a person standing in the corner, just looking at him and doing nothing.
waking up was both a terrible and relieving experience.
he sat up, a thin layer of sweat covering his body as the panic he felt in his dream transferred to the real world.
he panted, breathing deeply and using his hands to push his hair away from his face because it felt suffocating.
he couldn't do this.
he looked around the dorm, seeing that all the lights were off and absolutely no one else was there.
no mother, no creepy figure in the corner of the room, no minho.
jisung felt the fear of the nightmare settle behind his eyes as they stung with the urge to cry.
he wished his mother had never done this to him.
jisung brought himself out of the bed, dragging himself over to the fridge to get some water for his burning throat. he found his fingers stiff and his head aching, so after grabbing a bottle of water he rushed to drink it.
it washed away the lump in his throat but not the dull ache in his head. he sighed upon finishing the water, taking deep inhales to calm himself down.
he felt better after a couple seconds of repeating the action, bringing himself to sit down on his bed.
he looked down at his knees with watery eyes as he sighed a final time.
this sucks.

"ji, are you okay? you didn't answer my text from yesterday. i got worried!!"
felix rushing up to him after class caught the blonde off guard, even though he realistically should've expected it.
jisung gave a smile to felix, an apologetic one. "oh.. i'm sorry i really didn't mean to." he felt the twinge of guilt settle inside him.
it's been three days since the face time with minho.
each night he tried to go to bed he'd have one nightmare after the other, so to say he was tired was a complete understatement.
he hadn't even realized felix sent him anything.
"well.. are you okay?" felix eyes trailed up and down the latter. "you seem really tired.."
hearing it sucked.
jisung sighed and rubbed a hand over his eyes before motioning over to the dining hall.
felix got the message and linked arms with him as the two of them made their way over to a table.
"what's wrong?" felix asked softly after sitting right in front of the blonde; leaning over with concern seeping from his eyes.
"you probably know already, but minho has been gone for a while to take care of his mom." jisung started, and felix nodded his head.
"ah yes, i did know that." he confirmed.
"well." jisung sighed and leaned his head against his hand. "i'm home alone now and it's really starting to mess me up." he murmured, feeling embarrassed even saying it.
