jisung found himself wanting to check his phone the second he felt it buzzing in his pocket.

it buzzed multiple times.

"is there anything you're in the mood for?" hyunjin had their arms linked together tightly, looking both ways before crossing the road.

jisung had to relax enough to allow himself to actually think and answer. "uhmm.." he paused, going down the very short list of foods that popped into his head. "do you want tteokbokki?" he suggested.

luckily hyunjin seemed to like the idea and he nodded with a smile. "okay! i know a really good place not too far."

the two of them walked the short distance to the spot, arms linked together as they talked about random topics that flooded their minds.

it was really nice to go out like this, especially since hyunjin was such a huge conversationist. it made talking easy and natural- and they were able to get a lot of laughs out of it too.

"felix has been saying he misses all of us hanging out! he wants to plan something again but he's unsure what." hyunjin mentioned, shivering but holding jisung close as they walked across another street.

"oo really?" jisung smiled. "that sounds nice! it should definitely be before our huge painting project is due." he said, and hyunjin lightly laughed.

"oh that? we still have so much time to finish it. i think it's supposed to show progress and growth within a singular piece which is why we have so much time." he turned left into the building he recalled having amazing tteokbokki.

"yeah but stillll. we can never hang out too soon." jisung said as they made their way to a table.

the two of them placed down an order of tteokbokki with some sides, and each of them ordered their own drinks. hyunjin getting a mango lemonade while jisung got a brown sugar boba.

their drinks came first, and jisung took a long sip with a hum, pulling back to chew the tapioca pearl.

hyunjin sighed in content after his sip, looking around the building in search of something before getting up. "i'll be right back, i gotta use the restroom real fast." he motioned to where the bathrooms were with his head.

jisung looked over and nodded with a thumbs up as hyunjin left.

after being left alone, jisung slowly had the realization that he eventually had to reply to minho and see what he said.

he tensed up as he slowly reached his phone out of his pocket, unlocking it to reveal the messages he had yet to see.

minho: you're lonely without me?
how cute.

jisung's cheeks burned red.

minho: it hasn't even been a day.
if you're like this when i'm gone i wonder how you feel when you're with me

jisung stared at the messages with his heart bruising in his chest. if only he fucking knew.

he began typing.

jisung: are you saying you don't miss me already?? :( not even a little?

he didn't expect to see the little type bubble appear so quickly.

minho: we've been dating for 7 yrs.
it's hard to miss someone i've seen every day for that long.

jisung pouted and bite down on his boba straw. why is it so hard to get a reaction out of this man?

jisung: wow. yk what. i think we should see other people.

he took some more of his drink and chewed on the tapioca as he waited for minho to answer.
