the second they got into the car and hyunjin was sitting at the wheel- the process of what grave mistake the two of them made settled immediately.
"wait- felix i thought the two of us were doing something alone?" jisung said, the sleep finally wearing completely off enough for him actually question things.
he poked his head to look at felix from the passenger seat because he was stuck in the back with minho.
"why? you don't wanna hang out with hyunjin too?" felix's voice was full of tease, making the brunette driving briefly look over with false offense.
"wowww jisungie. i thought you were my friend!" he dramatically complained, voice laced with mock hurt as the two of them clearly knew what jisung really meant.
the blonde hit hyunjin's arm lightly. "it's not that!" he scolded. he sat back completely in his seat in the car. "but.. i'm confused as to why minho has to come."
there was a thin line of silence in the car after that.
jisung wasn't sure why minho wasn't saying anything given the fact that they hate each other- but when felix spoke again the little moment of silence ended.
"it's gonna be a play day." he said, making hyunjin nod enthusiastically. "a fun play day! just us four. why not? it's not like anyone has anything to do anyway."
"hyunjin is this your way to try and get us to watch one of your damn movies?" minho finally spoke up, voice flat and monotone as he heard hyunjin break into guilty giggles.
"that's definitely on the list."
jisung sighed, turning his eyes out the window and crossing his arms. "i don't know why you guys are so adamant on forcing two people who don't like each other do be near each other all the time." he murmured, slight annoyance in his tone.
"well hyunjin and i are friends with both of you. it makes sense that we want to hang out with people we like as a group, don't you think?" felix spoke in a way that was purely determined.
it was clear that this had been a planned attack. the way hyunjin was grinning in the drivers seat gave it all away.
"nothing good can come out of two people who hate each other being with each other." he added, still looking out the window. "you guys know we aren't friends." the blonde twisted a piece of hair between his fingers.
"would there ever be a moment in time where you two respect that?" he questioned.
hyunjin and felix briefly looked at each other after they got to a red light. at the same time they shook their heads and looked back ahead. "nope!" they said in unison with the same confident smile.
jisung groaned and leaned his head against the cold window in defeat. he was stuck on this journey that was surely a recipe for disaster.
"you guys have been living together for a while though, right?" hyunjin then asked, looking at jisung through the rearview mirror.
the blonde gave a shrug and a curt nod.
"well then, you two would've been near each other anyways."
jisung opened his mouth to reply- however he had no rebuttal. he slumped back further in the car seat and rolled his eyes, looking back outside. "whatever." he murmured softly.
"we only just left and i'm already getting tired of hearing him complain." minho sighed, resting his cheek against his hand as his focus was on the car in front of them.
jisung went to bark back- however felix turned around and looked at minho with big eyes. "have you heard him sleep talk yet?" he snickered, making jisung yell a 'hey!' instantly in defense.
