Barbra stood in the bakery crying as the baker she was working for to pay for her mum's heart surgery yelled at her even though he promised her he would pay her or give her a cake as reward for helping in the shop. Barbra stood at the counter as she yelled with tears in her eyes

"You promised me a cake for my mum's birthday." Hunter was rude and mean and took back everything he promised her and said

"I did no such thing, you can't prove anything, so get out."

two months ago Barbra stood in front of a cake admiring all the cakes as she was choosing one to surprise her mum Rachel with. As she stood there admiring the cakes the owner Hunter scared her off.  Barbra walked in and said to him

"My mother, she is ill, and she has always loved your cheesecake. It's her birthday soon and she's really sick, I wanted to surprise her with one of your cheesecakes." Hunter who was not only the baker but also the owner of the cake shop rudely said

"What does that have to do with me?" Barbra taking after her mum with her kindness, said

"I do not have much money, but please can I wash your floors or windows for two months and you can me a cake for my mum in return?" Hunter thought about her idea, and remembered all the kids who would mess up his windows with their hands, and said

"It's a deal."

For two whole months little Barbra would go to the cake store and wash floors and clean windows and washing and cleaning away the dirty marks on the window.

Barbra handed in the cloth and said

"Today is my last day. May I please have my mum's favourite cheesecake now?" Hunter not wanting to give anything up said

"Sure! for a couple of rags?" Barbra couldn't believe it, she ran out the store crying, as he did a book seller walked out of his store to get some fresh air and saw Barbra.

Sebastian walked over to her, and kneeled down to her height and as he did, he swore to himself that he has seen her chocolate brown eyes somewhere before. Sebastian gently asked

"What's wrong, why so sad little one?" Barbra took a deep and told him everything that had happened at cheesecake shop with the mean and rude baker. Barbra then sadly said

"But most of all I just wanted to please my sick mum on her birthday." Sebastian placed a comforting hand on Barbra's shoulder and said

"I can't believe he did that. I've seen you here every day washing his windows clean from dirty marks." Sebastian stood up, and went into the cake shop with Barbra. Sebastian stood in front of the counter and said to Hunter

"Why did you deceive this poor little girl?" Hunter looked at Barbra and then at Sebastian and said

"I've never seen her before." Sebastian couldn't believe what his former friend had said, and he said

"I leave that your conscience." Sebastian then handed Hunter the money and said

"Now give her a cake."

As they walked out the shop, Barbra looked at Sebastian and said

"Thank you so much, my mum would be most happy. But it could be her last because she is very sick." Sebastian felt for the little girl as he lost his dad when he was young, and not wanting to leave her alone at night, he said

"It's really dark now. Let me walk you home." Barbra nodded her head in agreeance.

When they reached the house and stopped at the door. Sebastian was surprised and felt that the house looked so familiar. Sebastian looked at Barbra and said

"My friend Rachel Berry used to live here." Barbra smiled at Sebastian and said

"She's back from New York. Rachel is my mum." Sebastian was surprised, he now knew why the little girl felt so familiar and where he had seen her eyes before, they were Rachel's. He didn't realise that he had helped Rachel's daughter, but he was happy that he did.

Barbra walked inside with Sebastian following behind her, and walked to Rachel's room and said

"Happy Birthday mum." Sebastian stood behind Barbra and slightly waved at Rachel, hoping she would recognise him.

Rachel couldn't believe it, she couldn't believe that Sebastian was here and had remembered her. She felt a little embarrassed at Sebastian seeing her. Sebastian slowly walked over to her and said

"Rachel, I can't believe it's you. How's Finn, and his plans to make it in Hollywood?" Rachel softly spoke and said

"He probably will but with Quinn by his side instead." Sebastian was shocked to hear that Finn had walked out on them, and Rachel said

"When I got sick, it blew Finn, Barbra's father away from us, and into the arms of Quinn, and I had to return here with Barbra." Sebastian was worried for his broadway, and worried that she wouldn't get better.

Sebastian knew his mum was a nurse at the local hospital, and went to see her about Rachel's hospital bill. Sebastian instantly paid for Rachel's bill to his mum, and even helped Barbra with her schooling and music studies. Sebastian had been in love with Rachel since they first met at the Lima Bean that day thanks to Blaine and Thad introducing them.

When Rachel got better, Barbra and Sebastian were happy, especially Sebastian as they had been dating for 5 months. A month went by when Sebastian finally got down on one knee and asked Rachel to marry him after she had sang on stage in the musical Jane Austin Sings, in New York , where they had a small wedding with Blaine, Puck, Sam, Thad, Nick, Jeff and Kurt attending, and Sebastian even preparing a small speech just for Barbra promising her that he would never let her down, and he will always love her and her mum.

A year later Rachel and Sebastian had another daughter who they named Maria, after the musical role Sebastian first saw Rachel as, and Barbra was happy to have a sister, and even started calling Sebastian dad, which made Sebastian emotional. Sebastian always knew that there was something special about being a book seller, he didn't know what it was until he saw Rachel's daughter crying that one day.
