61. What's a soulmate?

The bell rang as Skylar walked out of his class confused, and a question that needed to be answered only by his older brother, who to Skylar always had the answer to every question that he asked him, so he knew that Sebastian would have the answer. He walked out of dalton, and drove to the Lima Bean, to see his older brother Sebastian. When he arrived, he walked inside, brought a coffee and walked over to his brother who was taking notes for a test, and placed the extra drink in front of him. Sebastian looked up from his notes and saw his brother.

"Sky, what's up, and why do you have a look of confusion on your face?" Skylar placed his drink down and said

"A discussion from my last class had me confused, about something." Sebastian booked marked his textbook, closed it, placed it on the table, and said

"What about?" Skylar looked at his older brother and asked his question

"Soulmates, so my question is what's a soulmate?" And like always Sebastian was surprised at his younger brother's question, but this time it was a different kind of surprise, as he didn't know how to answer or if he had the answer to this particular question, he was silent as he didn't know how to answer it or if he even had an answer and as if on cue, the door to the Lima Bean opened and in walked his long time crush Rachel Berry as Sebastian continued to think about how to answer Skylar's question, he unknowingly stared at her from where he was sitting and started to answer Skylar's question

"Well, it's like a best friend but more." Sebastian continued to stare at Rachel as she walked over to a table with Blaine and Kurt. Rachel was his best friend but it hurt his heart that he is only a friend and smiled as he looked at her

"It's the one person in the world who knows you better than anyone else." Sebastian zoned out Skylar and continued as he stared at Rachel laughing with Blaine and Kurt. Rachel was the only one that knows about his past, and knows his secrets

"It's someone who makes you a better person. Actually they don't make you a better person, you do that yourself  because they inspire you." Sebastian knew that if he ever wanted a chance with Rachel, he had to be a better person for her. He smiled as she looked towards the door, saw her younger sister walk in, walked over to her and hugged her tight.

"A soul mate is someone you carry with you forever, it's the one person who knew you, accepted you and believed in you before anyone else did or no one else would." Sebastian smiled widely as he remembered the day Rachel hugged him and told him that she believed in him when no one else would.

"And no matter what happens you will always love them, nothing will change that." As he finished he sighed and then looked at his brother and said

"Does that answer your question Sky?" Skylar nodded his head yes and said

"It did actually, but my next question who was that girl you were staring at?" Sebastian sat back in his chair, and said

"My soulmate." Skylar looked at him and said

"She's pretty." Sebastian looked over at Rachel once more, smiled and said

"She's beautiful actually." Skylar looked over at Rachel who was talking to Marley and then back to Sebastian and said

"You should go over there if she's your soulmate." Sebastian shook his head and turned to Skylar

"Its complicated, Sky." Skylar looked over his shoulder, and saw Rachel looking over, at them, then watch her stand up and walk over. Skylar turned to face his brother and said

"If it's complicated then why is she walking over here?" Sebastian looked up and saw Rachel at his table and said

"Hey Rach, this is my younger brother Skylar, Sky this is Rachel." Skylar smiled at Rachel and said

"Nice to meet you. I wish I could stay but I can't." Skylar then turned to Sebastian who was glaring at him and said

"Thank you for answering my question. I'm no longer confused." Skylar picked up has coffee, stood up and walked away to another table, and watched on. Sebastian looked up at Rachel and said

"You can sit with me if you want, I was studying until Skylar came up." Rachel sat down,  and said

"Thanks, and your brother is nice." Sebastian, smiled and said

"He is, so you don't have to worry he doesn't have a bad bone in him." Rachel laughed and said

"I wouldn't say you are bad Sebastian, well not anymore anyway." Sebastian, thought about what he said to Skylar, leaned forward in his seat and said

"Will you ever give me a chance?" Sebastian was nervous, and when silent came he thought he blew his chances, as if reading his mind, Rachel thought about what she said to Marley, and kissed Sebastian. When they pulled apart, took her hand, looked into her eyes and said

"You're my soulmate I know you are, you don't have to worry about me ever going to another girl, or any cheerleaders, you are the one for me, no one else, you're the one I know you are." Rachel smiled and said

"I know you're the one as well." Sebastian took both her hands and just smiled knowing that his dream girl Rachel Berry, is finally his, from the distance Skylar smiled at his older brother, as he understood what his older brother told him about what a soulmate is when he saw them together.

But what Skylar didn't know was, that Rachel's sister Marley had asked her the same thing, and Rachel had answered the same as Sebastian, and what the two didn't know was that they were each other's soulmates just like their older siblings.
