Sebastian and Rachel One Shots (Smytheberry)

103. I'm home

Rachel was in an apartment that she shared with Trent, Nick and Jeff getting ready for her shift at the spot light diner, they told her that she didn't need to pay rent, but given that she felt that she was intruding, she insisted that she did. And as she was getting ready for work, she was still hoping that one day that her Sebastian would show up either at the apartment, NYADA or her work and tell her that he still loves her, like he always promised he would do, but always to Rachel's dismay Sebastian doesn't show up.  She always remembers the day he told her that he was setting her free, that he would promise that he would go to New York and find her. She always held on to his promise.

Kurt thought she was crazy for holding on to hope, holding on to Sebastian's promise, and always told her that she should move on, and Santana thinks she's crazy just because she still loves Sebastian and they always argued about it, which annoyed Rachel the most especially when Santana always accused Sebastian of being with another girl and forgetting about her, which made her leave the loft.

She didn't care what they thought, just as long as she still had her hope for Sebastian come, she walked out of her room after getting ready for work, as Trent handed her a cup of coffee, which to her was weird because she knew that Trent never really made coffee as he doesn't like the smell of the beans, and what was even weirder to her was that nick and Jeff had prepared breakfast. Rachel placed her cup on the bench, looked at the boys and said

"What's going on?" Trent, Nick and Jeff looked at each other worried that they gave away the fact that Sebastian was coming into town later that day for her. Nick looked at Rachel and said

"What do you mean?" Rachel looked at them all with a really look, and Jeff then said

"If it's the coffee, Nicky made it, and told Trent to give it to you, and if its the breakfast Trent made it." Rachel didn't believe them, but she didn't want to push anything, she finished her coffee and ate her breakfast, then left for work. As she left Nick looked at Trent and Jeff and said

"That was so close, luckily she had work otherwise the surprise from him would have been ruined." Trent and Jeff agreed with him, and Jeff said

"Do you think she will be happy to see him? I mean he stayed in Ohio for another  two years after he graduated because of dad" Trent sighed and said

"I have no idea Jeff, I can only hope, and we will find out later if she brings him home." Nick and Jeff agreed with him, and all sat silently hoped that their best friends would find their way to each other.

Rachel was on her way to work wondering if today was the day that Sebastian would be here in New York to tell her that he loves her, she really did hope that what Santana said about him being with another girl wasn't true, as she wouldn't be able to take another heartbreak, but Rachel always holds onto hope that he isn't.

She walked into work with Sebastian on her mind like always, and as she walked out from behind the counter, she looked at the door like she always did before she started in hopes it would open and reveal her Sebastian, but like always he never walked through, Rachel sighed as she began her shift, where every 20 minutes she looked towards the door as she would walk to another table to serve customers until it was her break where she would watch the door the entire time hoping to see her Sebastian.

Rachel walked to pick up her note book and pen after her break, she sighed and gave up hope on seeing him, she heard the door of the diner open as she was serving a customer but this time she didn't look up to see who it was, much to Sebastian's dismay when he had saw her working in her work uniform, Rachel had finished writing in her note pad, and said to the customer sitting down

"Alright I'll be right back with your order sir." When the customer thanked, Rachel had looked up from her notepad, to walk to the counter and as she did, she saw him. Rachel couldn't believe it, she couldn't believe that Sebastian was here. She began to get emotional at seeing him, that she placed her hand over mouth as she said

"Oh my gosh Sebastian." He smiled widely at her, as they walked towards each other, and he said

"I'm home Rachel, I'm home." Rachel hugged Sebastian tight, not wanting to let go in fear that it was a dream or that her imagination was very vivid. Sebastian hugged Rachel and kissed her hair and said

"I still love you pretty girl, I'm promised I'll find you again." Rachel began to cry happy tears and said

"I still love you too Seb and I know you did, I still held onto your promise." Sebastian was grateful that she did, he then pulled apart the hug and let her get back to work.

After her shift, Sebastian insisted that he walked her home where Nick, Jeff and Trent waited patiently to see if their two best friends had finally found each other again, and when Rachel walked into the apartment holding Sebastian's hand, Nick, Jeff and Trent were happy and thrilled to see them together again and ended up having dinner together. Nick smiled at Sebastian as he sat down next to him and Jeff as Trent sat next to Rachel and said

"Does this mean you're staying?" Sebastian smiled as he looked at Rachel with love and happiness in his eyes and said

"Yeah it does, because I'm home and I never want to leave Rachel again."
