163. Who makes you happier?

It was the day after Sebastian had kissed Rachel, ultimately cheating on Santana. It was after the Michael Jackson fiasco in the Lima Bean and a song and dance off to Bad had been decided. Rachel had stayed behind in the coffee shop while her team including Sebastian's girlfriend Santana and Rachel's ex boyfriend Finn had left for McKinley. Rachel was still feeling raw and numb after the recent break up and seeing him with Quinn, it got to Rachel a lot. Sebastian had noticed Rachel was upset.

Sebastian walked over to her and kept her company. Rachel noticed that ever since Sebastian had started dating Santana he hasn't been himself. Sebastian had suggested they leave Lima for awhile to be away from it all just for a little bit. When Rachel agreed to Sebastian's idea, he took her out dancing to dance bar in Westerville, and while they danced and were having fun, Sebastian had twirled Rachel around and pulled her closer to him.

"Streisand." He said softly which caused Rachel look up and as she did they both leaned in and Sebastian had placed his lips on Rachel. They stood there for a while kissing forgetting he was with Santana.

It was when Rachel started to pull away that Sebastian remembered about Santana

"Sorry. I shouldn't have done. Can we forget that it happened and never tell Santana about it." Although slightly disappointed Rachel agreed. Rachel couldn't the feel of Sebastian's lip off her own, she still felt them tingle after they pulled away.

It was now the following day and here Sebastian was laying in his dorm and couldn't get the kiss with Rachel out of his head, and the fact that he had cheated on Santana with Rachel. He was having internal arguments when there was a soft knock on the door. He knew it was Rachel and none of the Warblers and not Santana. Sebastian sat up on his bed and then walked to his door to open it and sure enough it was Rachel. He let Rachel in and closed the door behind her, but also trapped her inbetween him and the door, and then placed his lips on Rachel's yet again. 

Sebastian knew himself that kissing Rachel wasn't a one time thing, but he knew he had to stop himself otherwise it would get of hand. within minutes Sebastian had to pull away and said

"We can't Rachel. We can't. I'm with Santana and I love Santana. I just can't. I can't do this with you." Sebastian walked and turned his back to her and she said

"Then why did you kiss me not once but twice?" Sebastian sighed and then turned to face her and said

"Because." Rachel folded her arms and said

"Because why?" Sebastian frustratedly said

"Because I love you too. and I can't be with you. You always go back to Finn. Always. I will never measure up to him and you will never look at me the way you do him. You were engaged to be married to him at one point and was set to walk down the aisle to him. You never look my way not once. it hurt to move on from you to see you with him preparing to marry him. Santana helped me through that Rachel. I can't keep doing this, I can't hurt Santana, and I can't hurt you  or even." Rachel was almost in tears and said

"By being with her, you hurt yourself, by being with her you hurt me." Rachel then turned and left the dorm leaving the door open which resulted in Thad, Trent, Jeff and Nick looking at their captain through the open door frame, and walked in. Thad looked at his best friend since childhood and said

"You doing okay Bas?" Sebastian shook his head no and said

"I'm not." Nick gently spoke

"You want to tell us what happened?" Sebastian sighed as the four boys walked into the room and closed the door. Sebastian sat on his bed and said

"I kissed Rachel last night." Nick, Jeff, Thad and Trent were excited and Trent said

"That's great." Sebastian shook his head no and said

"It's not, because I kissed her again and I'm with Santana. Ultimately I cheated on Santana twice." Jeff was shocked and said

"You're telling Santana right and then breaking up with her for Rachel right?" Sebastian stayed silent not knowing what to say. Thad shooed Trent, Nick and Jeff out of the dorm and sat next to him and said

"Who makes you happier?" Sebastian looked up at Thad and Thad continued

"You love both of them. You've always loved Rachel, ever since we were kids you did, and Santana helped you with getting over Rachel while she was with Finn." Sebastian stayed silent as he thought about what Thad had said.

"So  who makes you happier?" Sebastian softly answered

"Rachel." Thad gave a small smile and asked his next question

"Who knows you better?" Sebastian gave Thad a really look 

"Rachel." Thad asked his last question

"Who does your heart long for?" Without any hesitation and without thinking about it Sebastian said the first name on his mind

"Rachel." Thad looked at Sebastian as he stood up

"You know what you need to do." Sebastian stood up and left his dorm and left Dalton to see Santana first to break up with her. 

After Sebastian left Santana's place, he drove to Rachel's. He hoped Rachel wasn't still upset with him, and hoped Rachel hadn't gone back to Finn. 

Rachel was in her kitchen baking her favourite vegan brownies which she likes to do when she's upset, when she heard the door. She wiped her flour covered hands on her apron, turned her oven on low and walked to the door. As she opened it she saw Sebastian standing on the door, and without hesitation Sebastian leaned forward and placed his lips on Rachel's. They stood their kissing as Rachel pulled him inside where he closed the door and pulled apart the kiss and lead her up to her room where Sebastian had last been when they were 16 and one thing had lead to another.

After what felt like eternity for both, Rachel laid cuddled up in Sebastian's arms and said

"What about Santana, are you still with her?" Sebastian pulled her close and said

"No I'm not. I broke up with her. I should have never let you go." Rachel sighed contently in his arms and said

"I love you too." Sebastian kissed her, and Rachel then remembered

"The brownies."
