Sebastian and Rachel One Shots (Smytheberry)

109. You belong with me

Sebastian and Rachel are best friends, and have been since they were 10 and they were also next door neighbous too but unbeknownst to Sebastian, Rachel is in love with him, so when Sebastian transferred to McKinley Rachel was really happy about it, because she is able to spend every day with him. They were talking at his new locker as they arrived to school together, and as they were talking they heard

"Allow me to give you the proper McKinley welcome." They turned and saw Quinn Fabray, batting her eyes at him with a sweet smile, completely ignoring the fact that Rachel was standing there or even the fact that they were talking. Sebastian looked at Quinn and said

"Actually Barbie, I'm quite alright on the proper McKinley welcome." Quinn leaned forward, placed her hand on his arm and said

"But Seb, I can show you everything that is offered at McKinley." Sebastian felt uncomfortable, and took her hand off him and said

"I said no thanks." Quinn not taking no for an answer, wrapped her arms around Sebastian and practically dragged him away from Rachel. Rachel was upset that Quinn had did that, she didn't understand why Quinn would do that not when she's dating Finn. Rachel mentally sighed as she watched Quinn walk with Sebastian, and started question herself.

Rachel knew that she could never compare to Quinn, and started to question if Sebastian fell for Quinn too but didn't tell her, but Rachel knew Sebastian like the back of her hand, she knew that he hated cheerleaders, as he found them really fake, she knew his favourite movie and the movie he watches when he is sick, and knew his favourite song and favourite subject and the fact that he loves lacrosse.

Rachel knew that Quinn is the captain of the cheerios, and that by the end of the day she knew that Sebastian was captain of the lacrosse team. Rachel watched Sebastian and Quinn interact, and saw the smile she herself fell in love with and knew that Quinn was falling for it too. She could never compare to Quinn, not when she's the captain of the cheerios, where the school parted like the red sea as she walked through the halls, where all the girls wanted to be her, and have her perfect nose and bottled blonde hair.

Rachel subtly looked at her brunette hair with the split ends, and how she doesn't fit the pyshic that is perfection, where it blaintly screams not popular, not skinny, not a cheerio and not pretty enough for Sebastian, because she wasn't Quinn, but Rachel knew that she herself was a better fit for Sebastian even if he didn't see it at all.

Rachel waited at Sebastian's locker as she knew they were still walking home together with living next door to each other. Rachel waited and waited, but Sebastian never turned up at all, and knew that he wasn't coming at all because she knew that he would be Quinn.

Rachel started to walk home on her own thinking about the day's events that had happened. She was almost in tears as she thought about the entire day, she hated seeing Sebastian and Quinn together all the time.

By the end of Sebastian's first week of McKinley Quinn had non stop been at his hip the entire time leaving Rachel feel more and more upset but Sebastian more and more uncomfortable, and upset that he had left Rachel. Sebastian wanting to get rid of Quinn, walked into the choir room where glee was held, with Quinn on his arm, Sebastian got his arm free from her, stood in front of her and said

"Leave me alone. You're vile, cruel and toxic. Stop putting around that I transferred for you, and stop putting around that I'm dating you. We are not together nor will we ever be together. I don't like cheerleaders. I despise them a lot. Leave me alone." At those words Quinn became very upset and said as she placed her hand on his arm and batted her eyes at him

"But Seb I'm not just any cheerleader. I'm captain of the cheerios, and your captain of the lacrosse team and you don't mean any of that" Sebastian took a step away from her sighed in frustration and said

"I do mean it, I mean every word, you can even ask my best friend who you bully and torment on a daily basis, and i despise you a lot and if you must know I don't date bullies or cliche blondes with the constant need to be popular and stay on top." Rachel knew that it was wrong but she stood at the door of the choir room and listened to Sebastian yelling at Quinn who was angry and annoyed and Sebastian continued

"And if you clearly must know, I'm in love with someone else, i have been since I was 10." At those words Quinn had finally left Sebastian alone, and Rachel was happy that Quinn would now leave Sebastian alone. Rachel started at Sebastian as he sat down in one of the chairs with his head in his hands. Rachel knew that Sebastian was frustrated with the week he had because of Quinn, and she knew that in times like this Sebastian needed Rachel herself.

Rachel slowly walked in and over to him. She kneeled in front of him taking both his hands away from his face. Rachel gave him a small smile and said

"Stupid question, but are you okay?" Sebastian sighed and said

"Not really. I never got to spend any time with you or see you at all this week, I had to spend it all with her." Rachel squeezed his hands and said

"It's okay, I think she got the message now after your outburst with her." Sebastian finally looked up at her and said

"You heard that?" Rachel nodded her head and said

"I did." Sebastian knew the only way to keep away from him, was to reveal his feelings to Rachel. Instead of telling her, Sebastian had kissed her and then said

"I love you." Rachel smiled at him and said

"I love you too." Rachel then stood up, and sat on Sebastian's lap as she knew that he needed the closeness of her.

Rachel didn't need to compare herself to Quinn, because Rachel knew that she herself is right where she belongs.
